Trent Alexander-Arnold makes SURPRISE Arne Slot admission
Arne Slot has only been Liverpool’s head coach for 16 games, but already it looks like he has the Reds ready to compete on all fronts.
Liverpool are top of the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League and have put in a number of dominating displays on the pitch to start the campaign.
The arrival of Slot marked a fresh start for a number of players and, even in such a short space of time, his coaching methods seem to be paying off.

The development of Ryan Gravenberch into an elite midfielder is proof that whatever Slot is doing is working, but it isn’t just his compatriot that is flying.
Luis Diaz, Kostas Tsimikas and Ibrahima Konate have all progressed from where they finished last season, as has Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has revealed just how Slot has been so successful.
Trent reveals Slot’s secrets
Speaking to Viaplay about his new head coach, Alexander-Arnold revealed some of the methods the Dutchman has implemented since he arrived at the AXA training centre.
Describing Slot, Trent said: “Very in-depth, very detailed, [he] will really analyse the opposition and tell us where their weaknesses are and where their frailties are, and then go out there and punish them for that.”
The Liverpool vice-captain also shared how training has been different since Slot arrived.
“Training is more intense if anything, much more intense, it's smaller spaces, much smaller spaces, I would say it’s a very Dutch way of playing, like ball mastery.
“You play to the back foot every time and if it doesn’t go to the back foot then the session stops, ‘why are you passing it to his foot there when it should be his back foot?' That kind of thing.”
Trent’s personal development under Slot
Although development can be seen in the squad as a whole, Alexander-Arnold has himself developed as a player under the new regime at Anfield.
This season has marked a noticeable improvement in the fullback’s defending, and that is down to Slot's coaching according to Trent.
“He’s someone who helps me, he teaches me,” Trent explained. “He’s harsh on me, which I like, and he’s someone who’s helping me with frailties in my game and what I need to improve and helping me improve.”
Alexander-Arnold is clearly impressed by Liverpool’s new boss, and supporters will be pleased to hear how invested Slot is on helping his players improve.
Slot already has his team playing brilliantly after less than six months in charge, so Kopites will undoubtedly be excited about just how good the Reds can become as the new boss continues to develop his players.
