Liverpool academy graduate BACKED to replace superstar with expiring contract
Trent Alexander-Arnold has a Liverpool contract which expires in 2025, leading to speculation that he could leave the club for free next summer.
Real Madrid would appear to lead the way for the Champions League winner’s signature, with good friend Jude Bellingham already in situ and a replacement required for Dani Carvajal in the short term.
However, clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also been linked with Alexander-Arnold’s signature, who will be eligible to talk to overseas clubs regarding a free transfer in January.

Liverpool linked with Frimpong
Having played over 300 times for Liverpool and winning practically every major honour in the game, the 26-year-old’s potential departure would be a devastating blow for the Reds, who would not even bank a transfer fee.
Accordingly Liverpool have been linked with several players who could replace Alexander-Arnold should the worst come to pass. Top of the list would appear to be Jeremie Frimpong, the Bayer Leverkusen wingback who has admitted his attraction to Liverpool in previous interviews.
However, the Reds have a top performer on their books who plays in Alexander-Arnold’s position who could end up replacing the homegrown idol long term.
Redknapp on Trent: 'The signs are there'
Conor Bradley, 21, has provided stunning cover for the first-choice right-back when he has been injured or unavailable and recently captained his national team for the first time.
The Northern Ireland international has been backed to succeed Trent by former Liverpool player Jamie Redknapp, who claims ‘the signs are there’ for the England full-back to leave Anfield at the end of the season.
Redknapp on Bradley: 'He's going to be a star!'
“I wouldn't say it's an audition but it's certainly an opportunity for him to show that if he were to leave, Trent, and the signs are there, let's be totally honest, it looks like he might be leaving in the summer, I think this is Conor's big chance,” he said in his role as Sky Sports pundit ahead of Liverpool’s Carabao Cup victory against Brighton.
“He ticks every box, he's quick, he's aggressive, good defender, going forward like all modern day right backs now you have to be able to do that. Can he cross the ball, yes. He looks like a really good lad as well.
“Everything I hear from Liverpool is all positive about him. This is a big chance for him. And I'm sure he'll take it. Because in other games he's looked so comfortable. He's played a lot of big matches for this club. He's going to be a star.”
