Trent Alexander-Arnold drops MAJOR future hint
Liverpool seem to be fighting a losing battle with Trent Alexander-Arnold's expiring contract.
The right-back has yet to extend his current deal and if his situation remains unresolved by the summer, then it is highly likely he will be playing elsewhere next season, leaving Liverpool as a free agent.

Real Madrid are the club that has expressed the most interest in signing him, and it looks increasingly like his heart is set on a move to Spain rather than building on his legacy on Merseyside.

As such, while Liverpool will not yet admit defeat, fans are resigning themselves to the likelihood that the Scouse talent will move on, and the signs are suggesting that his head is already elsewhere.
Trent reminisces over Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane
Through working in partnership with Adidas for a number of years now, Trent has become intrinsically linked to some of the world's best players who also don the iconic brand.
Now in his 2nd year of working with Adidas, since signing with them back in November 2023, the right-back has been wearing the Predator boots which several legends of the game have been seen wearing over the past few decades, including Zidane, who is a player that Trent has great admiration for.
In a video for Pro Direct Soccer, he is presented with a pair of the boots in Adidas' new range, the Predator Elite Tongue x Moments range.
Parts of the boots have descriptions on them of iconic moments in football history, and one specific quote helped Trent reminisce over one of his heroes scoring his favourite goal of all time.
"I know what goal that is", he says. "That's Zidane's volley, for me the best goal I've ever seen, the best goal that has ever been scored.
"To do that with your weak foot. You wouldn't even believe how difficult that is. The best players in the world [could] have 100 goes at that with their best foot and they're not doing that."
Throughout the video, it is clear that Trent is starstruck just talking about Zidane and how much he rates the Frenchman's iconic volley for Real Madrid against Leverkusen in the Champions League during the 2001/02 season.
He would've been around three or four years old at the time, so the goal might well have been one of the first he ever saw as a youngster. It makes sense that it has stuck with him after all those years.
But given it was scored for Real Madrid, and how significant a figure Zidane is for the club as both a player and a manager, it isn't hard to see why Trent might want to follow in his hero's footsteps.
After all, the Spanish giants are one of the biggest teams in world football and after already completing his dream of playing for Liverpool, the move would be the perfect next step to take.
