Real Madrid want to sign HALF of Liverpool's back four

It’s no secret that Real Madrid have got their eye on Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of his contract expiry in summer 2025.

The 26-year-old has yet to renew his deal at boyhood club Liverpool, meaning he is less than two months away from being able to discuss free transfer terms with any potential overseas club.

And it’s Real who have been most seriously linked with his signature and they also boast in the ranks one of the England international’s close friends in Jude Bellingham.

However, since the injury sustained by Dani Carvajal, which puts him out for the long term, Real have been associated with a cut-price move for Trent in January.

Eder Militao injured

A deal would prevent the right-back from leaving for nothing next summer, thereby ensuring Liverpool at least get something for Trent in the event he’s determined to quit the club.

And he’s not the only Liverpool defender reportedly being eyed up by Real ahead of the winter market opening.

Eder Militao was added to a lengthy injury list last weekend, suffering a horrific ACL injury, meaning Real require centre-back cover in the short term.

Liverpool foe Sergio Ramos has been linked with a return as a free agent but the latest report out of Spain are that the 15-time European champions are ready to raid Anfield once again.

Real Madrid want Van Dijk

Virgil van Dijk, like Trent, is out of contract in 2025 and has so far not agreed a new deal at Anfield. He’s been associated with a free transfer to Saudi Arabia but Fichajes suggests Real Madrid could make a bid in January.

It’s unlikely that Liverpool would face a sale of their captain before the end of his contract especially with the Reds fighting on four fronts and Van Dijk establishing a superstar defensive partnership with Ibrahima Konate.

Other options listed by the Spanish outlet are Jonathan Tah of Bayer Leverkusen, Vitor Reis of Palmeiras and Castello Lukeba of RB Leipzig.
