Mo Salah given Saudi Arabia warning as fans TURN on Liverpool legend
Liverpool’s former superstar Sadio Mane now represents Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, but the Senegalese forward has found himself in hot water.
Mane made 269 appearances for Liverpool before he swapped Merseyside for Munich in 2022, but the winger only lasted a season in Germany before he was Saudi-bound.
The 32-year-old now lines up alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Aymeric Laporte and has started all but one game for Al-Nassr this season.

The one game Mane didn’t start was the side’s round of 16 King’s Cup tie with Al-Taawun, although he did come on as a substitute just after the 70-minute mark.
Al-Nassr lost the match 1-0 and Mane’s reaction on the full-time whistle has not left him in good standing with the team’s fanbase.
Al-Nassr fans fume at Mane’s reaction
The controversy around Mane stems from his reaction to the full-time whistle that signalled his side's exit from the tournament.
According to a report from GOAL, Mane could be seen smiling and laughing shortly after the conclusion of the match.
Supporters of the Riyadh-based side have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their displeasure at the former Red’s reaction.
One user with the handle @nooraleen_2010 said: “Let him laugh as much as he wants; he just keeps dribbling and wasting chances. Oh, Mane, leave me be...”
Another user, @abdulazizfine, said: “He’s getting millions in his account, and he couldn’t care less, him and those worthless ones with him.”
A cautionary tale for Salah?
Liverpool’s talisman Mohamed Salah is out of contract at the end of this season and, as it stands, will be available on a free transfer.
One of the most interested parties in the Egyptian’s signature has been the Saudi Pro League, who are keen to add Salah to their growing list of star players.
Salah however could be less keen to make the move, in part due to the experiences of his former teammates Roberto Firmino, who has struggled since making the move, and Sadio Mane.
Mane’s first season at Al-Nassr was disappointing and the pair’s decline since they made the move to the SPL could act as a warning for Salah, who is reportedly hoping to carry on playing at the top level.
The backlash that Mane has faced following this recent defeat may not be enough in itself to put Salah off the move, but it will certainly give the 32-year-old something to think about.
