Mo Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold serve FSG MASSIVE contract reminder
Liverpool are facing the prospect of losing Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil can Dijk on free transfers at the end of the season.
The high-profile trio all have expiring contracts for summer 2025 and as of January 1 have been free to talk to potentially interested overseas clubs about a pre-contract agreement.

Van Dijk is widely expected to STAY at Anfield although official confirmation of his renewal is still lacking. Salah, meanwhile, is also keen on staying and extending his terms at the club where he has won so much collectively and individually.
The future of Alexander-Arnold is far less secure with the England man the subject of a transfer attempt from Real Madrid earlier this week.
That effort was fended off by the Reds but Real could well be back before the end of the month. And should they fail in their attempts to lure Liverpool into a sale then they have the option available to approach Alexander-Arnold directly.
Salah and Trent nominated
If Fenway Sports Group - the club’s owners - and sporting director Richard Hughes had any doubts about what they would be losing in the event of the departures of those two players then they were offered a timely reminder on Thursday.
Both Salah and Alexander-Arnold were nominated for the Premier League’s player of the month award - alongside two reported Reds’ transfer targets in Morgan Gibbs-White and Antonee Robinson.
Salah scored seven goals and added seven assists across the month, extending his prolific form and helping Liverpool maintain their lead at the top of the table.
Alexander-Arnold, meanwhile, scored his first goal of the season in December. That came against West Ham last week and led to a controversial celebration on the part of the 26-year-old. He also added three assists to his all-time tally, including two in a memorable appearance away at Newcastle.
Liverpool have been in terrific collective form over the first half of the season but the kudos received by Salah and Alexander-Arnold are another wake-up call for Hughes and FSG to get these deals over the line.
