Mo Salah is in a league of his own for Liverpool this season as per usual.

Even if there are no personal accolades heading his way with major omissions in the Ballon d'Or and the African Player of the Year awards, the Reds know the truth.

There is no one like Salah. He is simply one of a kind.

Which is why it's so imperative to tie him down to a new long-term contract.

The fate of Liverpool's entire future could depend on what Richard Hughes and the rest of the Reds' boardroom plan to do with the Egyptian.

But Hughes is also making plans for the January transfer window where Anfield Watch understands the Reds are very keen to sign a player who is the only one currently matching Salah's output in Europe.

Why Liverpool are ready to sign Omar Marmoush who is matching Mo Salah

Anfield Watch recently did an exclusive interview with Bundesliga expert Ronan Murphy about Omar Marmoush.

We understand the Reds have made the Egyptian forward their top target ahead of the winter transfer window and are ready to make for him even as early as January.

Liverpool know they will not be the only people in the race to secure his signature and that is why time is of the essence with Marmoush continuing to set new heights on the pitch.

Sunday night was a prime example of this.

Marmoush scored another stunning free-kick goal (following on from his spectacular one from midweek) in Eintracht Frankfurt's 3-2 victory over Stuttgart.

In addition to his goal, Marmoush also grabbed an assist on the night, which means he has now matched his compatriot Mohamed Salah's feat from Saturday evening.

Salah grabbed an assist and a goal against Aston Villa to make him the first player in Europe's top five leagues to score 10 goals and register 10 assists this season.

Marmoush has now reached the same feat, although he has even more goal contribution than Salah having hit 24 goals and assists in just 16 matches.

Those numbers are absolutely ridiculous and having watched Marmoush's recent exploits it's fair to say we hope Liverpool are able to complete this transfer as soon as possible.

The prospect of Marmoush linking up with Salah at Anfield is absolutely mouth watering.
