EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool IN TALKS for Milos Kerkez transfer
Liverpool have made Milos Kerkez the club's top target and have now begun talks to sign him.
One of the biggest priorities for Arne Slot's side is a left-back with Andy Robertson having entered the twilight years of his career and Kostas Tsimikas not viewed as a viable long-term option for the role.
This means the club has already started to plan ahead for the future and have identified several options in the market to be Slot's future long-term left-back at the club.
Out of all those options at the moment, Milos Kerkez is currently winning the race with the Reds holding him in high regard and keen to sign him next year.
Especially after his brilliant performance against Manchester City recently.

Liverpool enter Milos Kerkez transfer talks
It was Liverpool's sporting director who brought the Hungarian international to the Premier League back in 2023, while he was still in charge of Bournemouth.
Hughes has been reluctant to raid his former club out of respect. However, Liverpool have long held an interest in Kerkez.
The Reds had held talks with the left-back as far back as the summer of 2023, but were unsuccessful at the time in their attempts to lure the Hungarian to Anfield.
Kerkez had wanted assurances of a first team role and guaranteed playing minutes in order to continue his rapid development but Liverpool were unable to provide that for him at the time.
This meant Kerkez opted for Bournemouth instead where he has been able to grow and develop his skills in the Premier League.

In the year and a half since, Kerkez has established himself as one of the best up and coming full-backs in the league and has continued to attract Liverpool's attention.
So much so that Anfield Watch understands the club have now asked for permission from Bournemouth to enter preliminary talks with the Hungarian full-back.
It is understood Kerkez is content at Bournemouth but would be very open to a move away to a top club should the opportunity arise.
Manchester United had wanted to sign him last summer but could not afford the £40m demanded by Bournemouth at the time.
This has undoubtedly now worked in Liverpool's favour with the Reds ready to swoop in and take front seat in the race for Kerkez's signature.
The prospect of Kerkez linking up with his international teammate, Dominik Szoboszlai, is one the youngster will be relishing.
It is understood Kerkez and Szoboszlai get on well on and off the pitch and are in constant discussion. With both of them fluent in German, Hungarian and English they are able to converse in three languages and regularly do so.

At this stage, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can wrap up a deal for Kerkez but it's clear the Hungarian is currently the front runner for the Reds in their pursuit of a new left-back.
Liverpool's decision to make a move so early in November is clearly a huge advance and one that would suggest the Reds are ready to complete this deal quickly.
