Liverpool move for winger who is BETTER than Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Liverpool's pursuit of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia appears to be over but the Reds are now making a move to sign someone who could be an even better fit for Arne Slot.
There is no question Kvaratskhelia would have been a brilliant addition to this Liverpool team. The Georgian is a mercurial talent who has set Serie A alight.

In the process, he has earned the adulation of Napoli supporters who have even given him the moniker of 'Kvaradona' after club legend Diego Maradona.
Kvaratskhelia's shifty feet and brilliant dribbling would have made him a tremendous addition to this Liverpool team. But it's not meant to be with him now very close to completing a move to PSG.
Liverpool make move to sign a winger better than Kvaratskhelia
So if not Kvaratskhelia, who could in to join Liverpool?
The truth is a left-winger isn't necessarily a priority for the Reds. Although Luis Diaz is entering the last two years of his deal and he hasn't signed a contract extension yet.
In fact, he's rejected his last offer and has been the subject of interest from AC Milan as revealed exclusively by Anfield Watch.
On the other hand, the future is also up in the air regarding Mo Salah. He is yet to sign a contract extension and his current deal expires at the end of the season.
That is why Liverpool might be better placed to sign a winger from the Premier League who can play both roles and who therefore might be a better fit than Kvaratskhelia.
According to a report by Scott Wilson writing in the Northern Echo, Liverpool are interested in Antoine Semenyo and could even involve Ben Doak in the deal to sign him from Bournemouth.
Semenyo is good with both feet and he can play as a left and right winger. He's played both of those roles very comfortably for Bournemouth this season.
At the same time he also has an impressive nine goal contributions already - that's one more than the Georgian has amassed for Napoli - while arguably playing in a much better side currently sitting at the top of the Serie A table.
Semenyo's name may not have as much allure as Kvaratskhelia but he's got Premier League pedigree and he suits Liverpool's needs far better - being capable of playing in multiple roles.
That is why pivoting to sign him from Kvaratskhelia makes sense - he's simply the better fit.
