A hotly-tipped prospect who has been called the next Alessandro Del Piero is reportedly drawing interest from Liverpool.

It’s no secret that Liverpool are exploring options in the wide areas with the expiring contract of Mohamed Salah, as well as continuous links with Luis Diaz leaving the club in the near future.

Compounded with the summer’s supposed interest in Anthony Gordon, and it wouldn’t be hard to see the Reds shopping around again for exciting wingers.

There are, of course, no shortage of links. From exciting young prospects like Andrija Maksimovic to more established names like Mohammed Kudus, it seems there is a new name tied to Liverpool every day.

Now, yet another name has been linked with a move to the Reds as another potential Salah replacement.

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool are understood to be 'monitoring' Juventus’ Turkish teenager Kenan Yildiz, who has started the season in electric form with three goals and two assists in 12 games.

He was on hand to provide two goals in the weekend's 4-4 Derby d'Italia thriller against Inter.

There are strong comparisons between Yildiz and Juventus great Del Piero, with the Guardian saying that 'his goal celebrations are reminiscent of club legend Alessandro Del Piero, as [are] some of his goals'.

The comparisons aren’t helped by his inheritance of the number 10 shirt, as well as Yildiz breaking Del Piero’s record as Juve’s youngest-ever Champions League goalscorer.

The report in CaughtOffside also mentioned strong interest in Yildiz from Arsenal, who are said to view Yildiz as being able to shoulder some of the creative burden that usually falls upon Bukayo Saka.

It’s curious that the report mentions Yildiz as being someone who could back up Saka at Arsenal or replace Salah at Liverpool, especially given Yildiz is mostly plying his trade on the opposite side of the pitch. It’s also worth mentioning that it would likely take an astronomical fee to prise him from Turin, but we all know how alluring the Premier League can be.
