But he may not be the last. With Liverpool currently pursuing Szoboszlai's good friend and Hungarian international teammate, Milos Kerkez.
As Anfield Watch exclusively revealed during the November international break, the club even held preliminary talks with Kerkez's representatives.
Now it seems as though it's not just us who have confirmed the exciting news about Liverpool's pursuit, but Szoboszlai himself.
Dominik Szoboszlai confirms Liverpool transfer talks with Milos Kerkez
That is according to a source closely connected to Szoboszlai in Hungary in Istvan Salloi, who is a sporting director and who is on great terms with the Liverpool midfielder's agent, Matyas Esterhazy.
Speaking on the popular Hungarian podcast,Teljes Terjedelem, Salloi revealed that he has spoken to Szoboszlai to discuss Kerkez's future and that Szoboszlai indeed confirmed to him Liverpool's interest in the Bournemouth left-back was 'real.'
"He [Kerkez] is in very good shape, [his signing] is absolutely on the table at Liverpool, the sporting director [Richard Hughes] who took him to England is now at Liverpool," Salloi said.
"We also spoke with Dominik Szoboszlai about this, and he also knows that he is in the picture that their interest [in Kerkez] is real," Salloi added.
The challenge facing Liverpool to complete Milos Kerkez transfer
Anfield Watch understands Liverpool are not the only party who have held preliminary discussions with Kerkez's camp.
Manchester United have admired Kerkez for well over a year and were interested in signing him back in the summer window.
Their interest remains with the arrival of Ruben Amorim and they will look to rival Liverpool in their pursuit of the 21-year-old.
Bournemouth's asking price of £50m is also a big stumbling block. United were unwilling to pay £40m back in the summer. However, Bournemouth now believe Kerkez has raised his value following his performances this season.
As Salloi mentioned, the role of Richard Hughes at Liverpool could play a key role in negotiations. But for now Kerkez is absolutely not a foregone conclusion.
