Liverpool to pounce on MASSIVE double transfer
The January transfer window this season could be the most important to Liverpool for a long time.
The Reds find themselves top of the table in every competition they are involved in and still in all the major cup competitions.
Squad depth will start to become incredibly useful as more and more games come along and the players experience the end of season fatigue.

With the news that has broken surrounding Lyon’s financial struggles, this also has a knock on effect for a fellow Premier League side who have players that are linked to the Reds.
Palace's loss is Liverpool's gain
Lyon owner John Textor is also part owner of Crystal Palace, with a 45% stake in the club. With Lyon’s woes weighing heavily on his mind, this might also inform his decisions around transfers at Palace.
The report from BBC Sport states that American Textor “could reportedly help manage the debt by selling his stake in Palace.”
However, Palace are seeking further American investment that, according to the Standard, would only serve to help Textor increase his power at the club as he wishes to eventually become the majority owner.
Any investment would come at a crucial time for Palace, who given Textor's worries at Lyon, could be forced to sell even more of his Palace stars.
Liverpool to pursue Guehi and Wharton?
In previous windows, the Reds have been incredibly interested in Marc Guehi and Adam Wharton respectively.
Guehi is the Eagles captain and has been a solid cog in Oliver Glasner’s project. With Ibrahima Konate out with a long term injury, Arne Slot may look at Guehi as a partner alongside Virgil van Dijk for the rest of the season and as a future asset.
The 24-year-old had a fantastic European Championship campaign in the summer which garnered interest from many big clubs.
It looked like he was going to be on his way to Newcastle but that deal collapsed and now the board may feel they can capitalise on the current financial situation surrounding Palace and Textor.
Moreover, Wharton has also been a target for the Reds. The 20-year-old would fit perfectly into the defensive midfield role, allowing Ryan Gravenberch to compete further up the field.
The Englishman would carry on the good work of the Dutchman with his high-pressing and all round playmaking.
Wharton is currently out with a long-term injury but should be back by the end of January.
With Liverpool also linked to Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki, the recruitment team could be very clever with these transfers as they will cost significantly less than what their prices should be.
The board have received backlash for their lack of business, but they would silence a lot of critics if they were to pursue these deals.
