Liverpool's new era under head coach Arne Slot has been going pretty well so far.

The Dutchman's side heads into the international break unbeaten following their 3-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Red's dominated Ten Hag's side and could've easily scored four or five past goalkeeper Andre Onana, so Liverpool fans are extremely content with Slot's impression so far.

Despite an earlier goal by Trent Alexander Arnold being ruled offside, Luis Diaz scored two seven minutes apart near the end of half-time, with Mohamed Salah rounding off the scoring inside 56 minutes.

Arne Slot want to give Luis Diaz a new contract

According to TBR Football, Diaz’s representatives are reportedly pressing for talks over a new contract that will see him become one of the highest earners at Anfield.

The Columbian has three years left on his current deal and has been pushing for changes to the contract since the beginning of the year.

Liverpool signed Diaz from Porto in a deal that was worth £50m with add ons according to the BBC.

The winger attracted interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain during the transfer window. However, Liverpool refused to lose the 27-year-old, who has had a fantastic start to the new season.

While Luis Diaz has proved that he could be pivotal to Liverpool's success under Slot, Reds will be hoping that the priority for new contracts would lie with Alexander-Arnold, Salah and Virgil van Dijk who are all in the last year of their contracts.

The report from TBR also understands that Slot is a huge fan of Diaz and is happy for him to be rewarded with fresh terms.

Diaz has racked up four goal contributions already this season and seems to have firmly cemented himself in Slot's starting 11.
