Liverpool signed a player just as good as Mo Salah and he cost just £37m
Liverpool now have a player who is as good as Mohamed Salah and he cost the Reds just £37m.
For the last couple of years there are no questions about it, the Reds have relied on the genius of their Egyptian king.

Salah has simply been sublime and he has been imperative to the success of both Arne Slot's and Jurgen Klopp's teams.
Especially, in the abyss that Sadio Mane left after his departure from the club. Salah has taken over as the out and out leader in the attack.
But that might not be the case for much longer. Because there is a star who is now just as good as him at Anfield.
Why Cody Gakpo is now just as good as Mo Salah
Against, Ipswich on Saturday night the game was as much as the Salah show as the Cody Gakpo show.
The Dutchman who was signed for just £37m (ESPN) dominated the relegation threatened side with his brilliance.
It was his inch perfect cross that provided the space for Mo Salah to open his account. Then later, Gakpo scored again and again to make it a brace with two fox in the box finishes.
After that Slot might have felt a little bit merciful and decided to put on Darwin Nunez, taking the Dutchman off.
But this was a Salah esque performance and in the process, Gakpo also entered a very distinguished list. A list that only Salah was able to do under Jurgen Klopp.
With his brace against Ipswich, Gakpo has now scored in his sixth straight game at Anfield becoming only the 13th Liverpool player to do this according to Michael Reid from Opta.
This list includes Salah of course as well as icons like Luis Suarez, Fernando Torres or Steven Gerrard and Ian Rush.
With his goal contributions, Gakpo also has nine goals and assists combined in his last 10 Premier League matches.
He's scored seven goals and two assists in those games and has come up clutch time and time again. With this kind of form, it's difficult to argue he is not on par with Salah at this stage.
On current form Liverpool have another superstar in Gakpo, someone who can lead the team on his shoulders just like Salah can.
And that is exactly what Slot needs if his team are going to win the Premier League this season, and if he indeed needs to plan for a future without the Egyptian in years to come.
Although let's hope the latter won't come to fruition...
