Liverpool set to AGREE £20m deal for exciting attacker
Ben Doak has been one of Liverpool’s true prize assets this season despite plying his trade in the league below.
The winger has starred for Championship side Middlesbrough as they undergo a promotion push under manager Michael Carrick.

They sit fifth at the time of writing, two points and two spots inside the playoff places, but nine points away from the automatic promotion-chasing pack in the top four.
Doak has been essential to this, bagging eight goal involvements so far and currently being top of all Championship players for key passes per game.
It is no surprise then that he has attracted Premier League interest.
Both Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town launched bids for the Scottish international last week - the former coming at £15m and the latter reportedly a touch higher - which were rebuffed by Liverpool who reportedly value Doak at £30m.
However a new report by GIVEMESPORT suggests that the Reds are willing to lower those demands.
Ben Doak close to leaving Liverpool
“Crystal Palace are set to lodge a fresh bid for Doak after receiving encouraging messages that their transfer target is attainable if they are prepared to pay an upfront fee of close to £20million” reads the report, before going on to say that Ipswich are also lining up another approach due to the news.
Liverpool will reportedly seek a deal worth up to £30m still, but with the additional third of that coming from add-ons, as sides seemingly weren’t willing to part with the entire fee up front for the player.
And whilst his talent is exciting, that money could be of paramount importance to the Reds as they look to retain Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold among making marquee signings in multiple other positions.
The transfer would make sense for both Palace and Ipswich given their histories. Palace value Premier League talent, parting with £30m for Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah in the summer, whilst Ipswich sought exciting Championship talent such as Jack Clarke and Sammie Szmodics to stay in the top flight.
