Liverpool transfers: Reds learn asking price for 'INCREDIBLE' Premier League star
The asking price of reported Liverpool transfer target Pedro Neto has now been revealed.
The Reds are expected to make an attacking acquisition in the upcoming transfer window, specifically targeting wingers or inside forwards according to recent reports.
The likes of Johan Bakayoko and Federico Chiesa are among the names that have been linked with an Anfield switch, with newly-appointed manager Arne Slot set to be handed a new forward for his debut campaign in charge.
Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto has been one of the more consistent links over recent months, with Fabrizio Romano having previously revealed that Liverpool have scouted the 24-year-old.
However, the Reds will need to part with a significant sum of money to capture the Portuguese's signature.
PEDRO NETO PRICE TAG REVEALED
According to The Telegraph, Wolves will 'demand' at least £60m for Neto in the summer market - a record transfer fee received for the Old Gold - but are in no great need to offload one of their prized assets.
The report names Manchester City and Newcastle United as interested parties as well, with the former 'long-term admirers' of the speedy forward.
Wolves clearly have a decent relationship with Man City too, with Matheus Nunes having moved from Molineux to the Etihad for £53m last summer.
Neto does fit the profile of a Liverpool signing, with huge potential, talent and his best years yet to come, but his injury record will be of concern.
Neto, who was hailed as 'incredible' by Man City boss Pep Guardiola, has suffered with several serious long-term injuries in recent seasons, having missed two months of football prior to his appearance at Anfield in a 2-0 defeat on the final day of the season.
Given Liverpool already struggle with mountains of fitness issues every year, they won't want too invest too much money in an injury-prone star.
