Liverpool PLAN to sell 'unbelievable' star to COMPLETE £40m transfer
The appointment of Arne Slot at Liverpool has marked the start of a period of change at Anfield, but he still has the Reds competing.
The style of football has changed, but Liverpool’s ability to compete with just about any side in Europe remains intact.

The change from Jurgen Klopp to Arne Slot also saw the start of some interesting positional battles within the Liverpool team.
Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz have competed admirably for the left-wing position, whilst Ibrahima Konate pretty quickly established his place over Jarell Quansah in the pecking order at centre half.
A new battle could be on the horizon as Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott look to displace Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister in the midfield.
The closest fought battle of the season however has been at left-back, between Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas, and it now looks like neither man may be the eventual winner.
Liverpool interested in Antonee Robinson
According to an exclusive from TBR Football, the Reds have identified Fulham star Antonee Robinson as a potential target at left-back and would be willing to include Tsimikas to sweeten the deal.
The report states that Fulham rate the left-back at £40 million and that the inclusion of Tsimikas in the deal could both lower the asking price and open the Cottagers up to a January move.
Robinson reportedly joins the likes of Wolves’ Ryan Ait-Nouri and Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez on Liverpool’s list of potential left-back signings.
As revealed by Anfield Watch earlier this week, Kerkez is Liverpool’s number one target in the position.
Liverpool’s left-back situation
The Reds current options on the left side of the defence are Robertson and Tsimikas, but the former has struggled to find form recently, is approaching his 31st birthday and his competition hasn’t ever properly been able to establish himself as first choice at Anfield.
This has led Slot and Richard Hughes to look for potential alternatives in the transfer market, and Robinson is someone who has been on Liverpool’s radar for a while.
Robinson, who represents the USA at international level, is a product of Everton’s academy and is more than familiar with Merseyside, having spent seven years on the blue side of it.
Tsimikas has provided some impressive performances this season and is a favourite in the dressing room, even being described as ‘unbelievable’ by Harvey Elliott in an interview with the club’s website a few seasons ago.
It would be sad to see Tsimikas go but it could be what is needed to make way for the future of Liverpool’s defence, and that future could be Robinson.
