WATCH: Teenage dead ball WIZARD could be a Liverpool SENSATION
Liverpool have established a reputation for bringing in the best academy talents around and developing them into full-fledged stars for the first team or else selling them on for big profit.
Harvey Elliott might well be currently injured but he is a firm fixture in Arne Slot’s first-team squad and will have a huge part to play under the Dutchman.
Bobby Clark, meanwhile, was taken in from the Newcastle academy before being sold to Pep Leijnders’ Red Bull Salzburg in the summer.

Ngumoha and Nyoni the academy stars
There are two prime academy prospects currently plying their trade in the Reds’ youth and underage sector in the shape of Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni.
Ngumoha, an England under-17 international, was brought in from Chelsea over the summer and has already stated that his declared career goal is to win the Ballon d’Or.
Nyoni’s services were acquired from Leicester in 2023 and he already has featured for the first team under Jurgen Klopp as well as Slot.
Liverpool want Maksimovic
Anfieldwatch revealed last week that the Reds were seeking to repeat the trick with a young Serbian midfielder called Andrija Maksimovic, a 17-year-old who currently plays for Red Star Belgrade.
Already a full Serbian international, Maksimovic has been on the radar of some of Europe’s top teams with Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City also reported to be interested.
Red Star have given Maksimovic a valuation of around £12 million, according to various reports, with Liverpool’s plans taking shape ahead of a potential January move.
The Reds would like to sign Maksimovic in the winter window before leaving him at Red Star on loan until the end of the season.
At that stage, an assessment would be made over whether Maksimovic will be integrated into their academy structures or else loaned out again for vital first-team experience.
Maksimovic nets WONDER GOAL
The player is demonstrating his capabilities at senior level for his club side this season with Red Star 11 points clear at the top of the Serbian Super Liga.
The Belgrade giants defeated Vojvodina on Sunday night with Maksimovic scoring the opening goal in a 3-0 victory. It was a beautiful, curling free-kick from the right side of the box, expertly guided into the top corner by a playmaker with skills beyond his years.
Red Star will be hoping for more of the same later this week when they take on Barcelona in the Champions League.
