Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr have identified Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker as their No.1 transfer target this summer and have held talks with the player’s entourage over a summer deal.

That’s according to Rudy Galetti of Teamtalk, who claims that discussions with Alisson are taking place ‘in parallel’ to conversations with representatives of Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s team are determined to land a world class goalkeeper during this transfer window with Alisson their first choice and Ederson as their alternative

Person terms have already been trashed out with Ederson but Al-Nassr are seeking to reduce City’s asking price from €50 million down to €30m.

However, should no agreement be struck with Alisson then a deal might well be struck for €40m.

Moreover the report adds that Al-Nassr want to finalise a transfer as soon as next week.

Alisson’s agents have been locked in talks with Al-Nassr but so far the goalkeeper is worried about losing his status as Brazil’s No.1 if he moves to Saudi Arabia.

Al-Nassr have offered the 31-year-old what’s been described as ‘a monster’ contract but he so far has not had his head turned.

If Alisson continues to remain reluctant move to the SPL then Al-Nassr will seek to strike a deal with City for Ederson.

Alisson among Liverpool's top earners

Brazil international Alisson has been with Liverpool since 2018, winning top honours in the Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup, FA Cup among other competitions.

He has also won The Best FIFA Goalkeeper award and is a two-time nominee to the FIFA FIFPro Men’s World 11.

Alisson is contracted until 2027 at Anfield and is among the club’s highest earners on a reported £210,000 a week.

Liverpool are reported to be in the market for TWO goalkeepers this summer with Caoimhin Kelleher desiring to leave the club and Adrian San Miguel departing for Real Betis.

Should they be tempted to cash in on Alisson - with Al-Nassr willing to pay more for him than for Ederson - then the Reds’ new transfer team will need to sign a new No.1.
