REVEALED: Viktor Gyokeres' Liverpool transfer plans after Ruben Amorim Man Utd move
Viktor Gyokeres' transfer plans have already been revealed with Ruben Amorim set to leave the club.
The Swedish striker is reportedly on Liverpool's transfer radar with Arne Slot set to bolster his attacking options given the unreliability of Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez.
The former is currently out injured and is very injury prone, having missed a big chunk of games over the course of the last few seasons.
Meanwhile, the latter has never really found his finishing boots in a Liverpool shirt yet. The jury is still out on Nunez but it's clear Slot cannot simply just rely on him alone.

How Ruben Amorim leaving will impact Viktor Gyokeres
Gyokeres seems like an ideal forward for Liverpool. He's powerful and fast and he's got a proven ability in front of goal having absolutely set the world alight since arriving at Sporting CP.
He has 78 goal contributions for the club in just 65 appearances, which is an incredible record.
But crucially he's also proven himself as a prolific goal-scorer in England, making 34 goal contributions in 50 games for Coventry during his final season in the Championship.
That track record makes him an ideal candidate for Liverpool and it seems like with his current boss on the verge of moving to Man United the Reds' path could be cleared to sign him.

Gyokeres has a brilliant relationship with Amorim, and that was a major factor behind his decision to stay at the club this summer despite major interest in his services.
Back in March, Gyokeres' agent addressed rumours about a move to Liverpool and revealed that Amorim leaving the club could have a massive impact on his client's transfer stance.
Gyokeres’ representative Hasan Cetinkaya told Portuguese outlet A Bola: “It doesn’t surprise me that Ruben is being linked to Liverpool, it’s normal, his work is of a high level, it’s what the clubs are looking for.
"Yes, it will be more difficult for Viktor to stay if Ruben Amorim leaves Sporting because Viktor came precisely because of Ruben.
“The day we met, I said to Ruben: 'Here’s my boy, he came to Sporting because of you'", he added.
There is a danger of Man United now going after Gyokeres as well. But for now the Red Devils haven't been mentioned as a potential destination.
What is clear is that with Amorim gone, Gyokeres would definitely be more open to a transfer away from Portugal if Liverpool did come calling.
All the more reason for the Reds to act fast.
