WATCH: Top Liverpool transfer target scores STUNNING goal of the season contender
Liverpool went into their first season under Arne Slot with only ONE first-team signing arriving in summer. That was Federico Chiesa, whose contributions for the Reds thus far could be described as marginal at best.
Meanwhile, Giorgi Mamardashvili will land at the club next summer once his current loan deal with Valencia expires having been signed in the off-season.

He could end up being No.1 choice depending on what happens with Alisson Becker and Caoimhin Kelleher. However, it was a quiet summer elsewhere with Slot using most of the squad left to him by predecessor Jurgen Klopp.
Left-back targetted
The Dutchman has made big improvements to the team as a whole as well as key individuals with the likes of Ryan Gravenberch, Ibrahima Konate and Cody Gakpo now excelling on a regular basis.
But transfer talk hasn’t gone away completely, with Liverpool being linked with certain individuals either in January or next summer. As Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes eye a rebuild, certain Liverpool squad members could end up fearing for their long-term futures.
It’s at left-back where most transfer interest has been concentrated with Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas under pressure with a host of names linked with a move to Merseyside.
Antonee Robinson of Fulham and Rayan Ait-Nouri of Wolves are two such players who have been associated with a move to Liverpool but it’s another Premier League star who reportedly heads the club’s wishlist.
Milos Kerkez on Liverpool wishlist
Anfieldwatch reported that the Reds were seeking to hold talks with Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, who has emerged as one of the best in his position this season. He is well known to Hughes, who signed him during his days as technical director at Bournemouth.
The Hungary international followed up a stunning display recently against Manchester City with another impressive showing against Wolves this weekend. And the 21-year-old scored his first EVER goal for the Cherries in the 4-2 win, a stunning effort which came off the back of an incredible team move from Andoni Iraola’s side.
Kerkez overlapped inside the Wolves area, getting onto the end of a lovely Marcus Tavernier layoff and firing a fearsome strike inside the near post. Bournemouth went on to win the game courtesy of THREE Justin Kluivert penalties with Kerkez’s goal being the highlight of the game.
Don’t be surprised to see it end up on several Goal of the Season compilations at the end of this campaign. And, if Liverpool’s aspirations are anything to go by, you might see him do similar on a regular basis at Anfield in the years ahead.
