Liverpool are set for an attacking shake-up next summer.

Anfield Watch revealed that the club are ready to listen to offers for Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez with the futures of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Federico Chiesa also in doubt.

Most pressingly, Liverpool require additional options at centre-forward. Arne Slot simply hasn’t got a sufficient return from players like Jota and Nunez this season and has had to turn to Diaz in emergency measures.

A solid, dependable No9 is on the cards for the next transfer window and the Reds have been linked with several star names. Joao Pedro, Hugo Ekitike, Benjamin Sesko and Alexander Isak are some of the names previously known to be in the frame.

Sporting slash Gyokeres asking price

There have been long-standing links to Viktor Gyokeres, meanwhile, and recent developments around Sporting CP could see him end up at Anfield as soon as summer 2025.

The 26-year-old Swedish striker has had two sensational campaigns for Sporting since joining from Coventry in summer 2023.

Last summer, interested teams including Liverpool were directed to Gyokeres’ Sporting buyout clause, which stood at €100 million.

No parties were minded to part with that amount of cash but he is now available for a STUNNING discount. Under contract until 2028, Gyokeres will be permitted to leave Lisbon for a €70m fee this summer.

Gyokeres wants Liverpool

That’s according to the latest report in A Bola, which claims Gyokeres prefers a move to Liverpool, Arsenal or Manchester City in the off-season.

He would also be interested in Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich among the teams based outside the Premier League.

His departure is described as “inevitable” and there an added boost for Liverpool should they be able to convince Gyokeres his future lies on Merseyside.

Sporting will allow Gyokeres to join a club of his choosing - even if the bidding club doesn’t offer the biggest amount. So long as a minimum €70m is met, Gyokeres will be allowed to select his own future destination.
