Victor Osimhen sends MAJOR Liverpool transfer signal
One Liverpool transfer target has a crazy demand that sends a proper message to the Reds.
Liverpool are on the hunt for new players in 2025 as they attempt to improve on a title-winning squad. That's the mission statement for Richard Hughes and it's not a simple one.

How, after all, can you comfortably improve on being the best team in the country? Well, one relatively simple method is by giving Arne Slot a centre-forward that he can rely on.
He hasn't actually had that yet. Neither Darwin Nunez nor Diogo Jota have provided what Liverpool would want, and both are unreliable for different reasons.
Nunez can't score with any sort of consistency. In fact, he's probably the least consistent striker Liverpool have ever had - someone capable of true brilliance but who will also miss open goals.
Jota is a reliable goalscorer but he's incapable of playing regularly. The Portugal star has managed around one-third of Liverpool's Premier League minutes this season.
It leaves the Reds hoping to sign a new striker this summer and there are some very, very good options. One of those is Napoli star Victor Osimhen - and he's sent out a strong transfer message.

Victor Osimhen sends message
Anfield Watch exclusively revealed back in January that Liverpool have their eyes on Victor Osimhen. He was seen as a possible replacement for Nunez, who had an offer from Saudi Arabia.
It's interest that's been revitalised in recent days and Osimhen is certainly one to watch this summer. He's almost certainly on the move, for one thing, as his loan at Galatasaray comes to an end.
But GiveMeSport report that Osimhen isn't making things easy for buying clubs. He wants £300k per week in order to move this summer, with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United needing to front a lot of cash to get him.
Notably, Osimhen isn't willing to drop those demands. It's £300k or you're not getting him.
On the face of it, that's a bizarre demand. Osimhen has spent the season playing in Turkey and the idea that he'd arrive as Liverpool's third-highest-paid player is nonsense. He'd be one of the best-paid in the Premier League.
Those are the demands of someone at the absolute top of their game and with a rock-solid reputation. Osimhen doesn't have that right now - again, teams were unwilling to sign him last summer and he ended up in Turkey.
But they're also the demands of someone with an eye on Saudi Arabia. Osimhen rejected an offer to move there last summer, though GMS now claims he's 'open' to such a deal.
We imagine that's the message those wage demands are truly sending. Pay him an enormous amount, or he'll take an even greater amount from the Saudi Pro League.

This is far from a straightforward transfer, then. Ultimately, we're not sure it's worth it and don't be surprised if Liverpool take this message for what it is: a sign they should back out.
