Richard Hughes has been TOLD what he needs to do this summer
Over the course of the last THREE transfer windows, Liverpool have only signed Federico Chiesa.
Liverpool transfer news today: Agent CONFIRMS offer as wonderkid deal moves closer
Despite sitting top of the Premier League - and winning the Champions League ‘league phase’ - the Reds have had to endure the barbs of their supporters who are desperate to add to the squad.

Arne Slot is largely working with the same squad of players left to him by Jurgen Klopp but that situation cannot hold.
First up there are contracts to be sorted for Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold and if no resolution is found then Liverpool are going to require three world-class starting players to come in.
Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez could also leave the club in summer, meaning the Reds will need to add to their options up front.
There have been glaring holes in this Liverpool squad for a while now with cover needed at centre-back, left-back and central midfield. And, based on the form and fitness of the current No9s, the Anfield club could do with a striker too.
Hughes needs a Robbo replacement
Anfield Watch polled its fans on social media as to what they believed was required in the next transfer window and we were left in no doubt as to what Richard Hughes should see as his priority.
We gave the users the option of selecting: A new centre-back, a back-up for Ryan Gravenberch, a new centre-forward or a new starting left-back.
And carrying practically HALF of the entire vote, the position of left-back has been chosen.
That doesn’t bode well for current incumbent Andy Robertson, who has served the club with distinction but is looking a little short of his best these days.
Rayan Ait-Nouri, Milos Kerkez and Antonee Robinson are among the Premier League options named as potential successors for the 30-year-old.
Elsewhere, a new centre-back WILL be needed if Van Dijk doesn’t renew. Murillo and Nico Schlotterbeck are among the names linked as potential arrivals.
Back-up to Gravenberch could also be needed as the Dutchman has featured extensively for Slot and might benefit from the occasional rotation. Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller is now among the potential candidates to arrive.
And up front Liverpool reportedly like Alexander Isak, Benjamin Sesko and Joao Pedro.
Let’s see what FSG have got up their sleeves.
