Van Dijk representatives jet in for CRUCIAL Richard Hughes meeting
Liverpool are facing a triple contract crisis at the end of this season.

Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are all out of contract in summer 2025 and so far there have been no breakthroughs in discussions.
EXCLUSIVE: High profile exits on the cards in summer overhaul
Sporting director Richard Hughes had it marked down as a priority to sort out new deals for all three but Liverpool have had no success in convincing any of them to stay.
Alexander-Arnold would appear to have one foot out the door with Real Madrid very keen on adding him as a free transfer.
The noise around Salah and Saudi Arabia ramped up during the January transfer window but fans remain in the dark about what the next chapter holds for the record goalscorer.
And Van Dijk’s situation is perhaps the most peculiar of all.
Before Christmas a new contract looked to be secured. His agents had begun telling potentially interested clubs that he was off the market. All that was missing was a signature on the contract and the Liverpool captain was set to remain at Anfield beyond his 34th birthday.

Since then however transfer noise has begun around Al-Hilal - the same club Salah has been linked with - and Van Dijk is giving nothing away.
Following a goalscoring performance against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg on Thursday night, the Dutchman was quizzed on his future. “I am feeling good, what the future brings I have no idea,” Van Dijk said on Sky Sports.
“Anyone who says they know, they are absolutely wrong.”
Now it’s emerged that Van Dijk’s representatives have met with Hughes once again. Reliable The Times reporter Paul Joyce says that the sporting director was joined in attendance at the game on Thursday by Van Dijk’s entourage.
“Liverpool supporters will hope there was something significant in the sight of his representatives sitting next to the club’s director of football, Richard Hughes, in the front row of the directors’ box,” he wrote of the visit.
Van Dijk, Salah and Alexander-Arnold have all been entitled to speak to potential interested overseas clubs since January 1 and supporters were hoping to see announcements for all three by now.
However it looks like it’s going to go down to the wire. Salah is the club’s highest earner on £350,000 per week with Van Dijk reported to be on over £210,000 and Alexander-Arnold on £180,000.

It remains to be seen whether Fenway Sports Group decide to furnish all three with more wallet-busting deals. However, with Hughes meeting with Van Dijk’s people, it at least appears to be a step in the right direction.

Liverpool need to sort it out we need all 3 players, certainly virgil and mo , trent has a different future
No doubt Michael Edwards is running the show and has set out the parameters of what the Club are prepared to offer.
The offers are pretty poor if all 3 continue to reject them.
Even Diaz and Konate are either unhappy with their current deals or are looking elsewhere because of the other 3's situation.
The big 3s situation is an attempt at the club reducing the wage bill and sending a message to others that Michael Edwards is back and he's gonna realign the previous pay structure before Salah blew a hole in it
