Liverpool plot €80m Alexander-Arnold REVENGE on Real Madrid
Liverpool look set to shake up their forward options in the summer. There is significant uncertainty over the fate of several current first-team stars.
Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez will be deemed surplus to requirements at No9 if the right bids are made and Liverpool are eyeing upgrades.

Benjamin Sesko, Alexander Isak and Joao Pedro are just some of the names linked with Anfield ahead of the summer transfer window.
On the wings there could be departures too with Federico Chiesa, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah all potentially leaving the club.

Chiesa is wanted by teams in Italy, including AC Milan and Roma, while Diaz’s contract situation could see him leave if the club decide to cash in.
Liverpool want Rodrygo
Salah, meanwhile, is looking to stay at the club beyond his summer 2025 expiry but sporting director Richard Hughes is yet to strike a deal with the Egyptian King and his entourage.
Nonetheless, wide attackers are being watched by Anfield recruitment staff and one name which has cropped back up again this year is Rodrygo.
The 24-year-old Real Madrid attacker survived the arrival of Kylian Mbappe last summer but has again been linked with the Bernabeu exit door.
Defensa Central claims Liverpool “have their sights” on Rodrygo for the upcoming transfer window in the event that Diaz and / or Salah depart.
One caveat that the Madrid publication adds is that Liverpool are ONLY prepared to offer €80 million for Rodrygo, who is under contract in the Spanish capital until 2028.
Alexander-Arnold REVENGE
The report also adds that Pep Guardiola has got a “legendary desire” to sign the Brazil international for Manchester City.
For their part, Real Madrid wouldn’t consider selling Rodrygo for that price, considering his contract duration and his level of impact in the squad.
Rodrygo usually plays from the right wing but has also featured at left wing and centre forward for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
He has won three LaLiga titles and two Champions Leagues since making his debut for Los Blancos in 2019.

Should Liverpool manage to pull off a deal of this magnitude at a price of their liking then it would go someway towards vengeance for Madrid’s upcoming capturing of Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer.
