The Reds' no.66 has an uncertain future at Anfield. With rumours rife about a move to Real Madrid it does feel like Alexander-Arnold is closer to leaving Liverpool at this stage than staying.

eHe is still yet to extend his contract at the club and with just a few months left on his deal it as the days pass it's looking less and less likely that he will extend.

If he leaves, he will undeniably leave a hole in this Liverpool team. There is no denying that no matter what happens he is a generational talent who will be impossible to replace.

But there is one exciting wonderkid who might just be ready for the challenge.

Why Givairo Read is ready to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold

According to Caught Offside Liverpool have lined up Givaro Read as a potential Alexander-Arnold replacement and will be ready to make a move for the 18-year-old once the Scouser's move to Madrid is confirmed.

The report claims Read is also wanted by Manchester United but that he is ready to reject the Red Devils in favour of a move to Anfield.

This is not really a surprise. Anfield Watch revealed earlier this month that Read picked Liverpool when asked to choose between Man United and Man City in a recent interview.

Read has other incentives to join Liverpool as well. It was Arne Slot who handed him his professional debut at Feyenoord last season, so reuniting with his former boss would make sense.

For a lot of fans, this is a move that would be of huge concern considering Read is a relatively unknown name in the footballing world.

But it's important to remember Conor Bradley is already at the club and he is definitely capable of replacing Alexander-Arnold having showed that over the course of this season and last season.

Read meanwhile is already playing regularly in the Champions League and catching the eye against some of the best wingers in the world. He would be an astute back-up option as an understudy to Bradley.
