Real Madrid ready PATHETIC Trent Alexander-Arnold offer

Real Madrid are readying an offer to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool. The figure, however, is truly ridiculous.

Fichajes is claiming that Real Madrid are readying an offer to buy Trent Alexander-Arnold in January. It's a door that's very much open, after all.

Alexander-Arnold's contract expires in June, allowing him to leave Liverpool on a free transfer. However, he can sign a pre-contract agreement with a club outside England from January 1st.

It means we could be just months away from the Scouser agreeing a move away from Liverpool. The Reds can't actually stop him doing that - the best they can do is offer him a new contract.

But Real Madrid do want Alexander-Arnold. They're desire to sign him skyrocketed this weekend, too, as Dani Carvajal suffered a truly horrendous knee injury.

And so Real could look to bring Alexander-Arnold's arrival forward, by agreeing a contract with him and then negotiating a fee with Liverpool to release him early. However, the fee Fichajes claim 'could be accepted' is truly laughable.

Real Madrid ready Trent Alexander-Arnold offer

£10m. That's what Liverpool could apparently accept for their star talent. Even with six months remaining on his contract, it's a pathetic figure and one that makes essentially no sense.

Even just taking into account potential prize money in competitions, Liverpool would make more money by keeping Alexander-Arnold until the end of the season. It's just unfathomable that £10m would be greenlit.

So no, we're not putting much weight into that report.

But we do believe that Real Madrid will try and get a January deal done. They've just lost their right-back in a way that almost certainly guarantees that he won't return as the same player.

Alexander-Arnold is a dream replacement and available without a transfer fee. Much like the Kylian Mbappé deal they struck this year.

And if they can sign a contract with Alexander-Arnold, they might as well see if Liverpool would sell in January for a reduced price. And maybe the Reds would!

But it wouldn't be for a price as low as £10m. That's just not worth it in any way, shape or form.
