Currently there is little to no hints on whether Alexander-Arnold will stay at Anfield or opt for a new challenge, with Real Madrid the most likely destination.

Reportedly the Reds are considering their options and looking for the 26-year-old's replacement should he decide to leave.

Liverpool enquire about Dedic

According to Caught Offside, Liverpool have asked for information on the situation of Red Bull Salzburg right-back Amar Dedic as they look to reinforce their right-back options and find a potential long-term successor for Alexander- Arnold.

The 22-year-old seems to have caught the eye of Liverpool, becoming one of their top targets alongside Jeremie Frimpong from Bayern Leverkusen and AS Monaco's Vanderson. The Reds are also said to be considering Lille's Tiago Santos.

Caught Offside also reports that Dedic is keen to test himself at a more competitive level and would consider a move to the Premier League.

How Klopp could help Liverpool

Dedic is said to be the most realistic target for Liverpool with Salzburg having a reputation for selling their best players when a better opportunity comes along.

Described as 'phenomenal' in the Bosnian media, he is someone who has shown his amazing qualities at Salzburg over the last few years and definitely could be an ideal replacement for Alexander-Arnold if the worst came to worst.

There is one key factor that could also help the Reds bring the Bosnian international to Merseyside. Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wil become Red Bull's Head of Global Soccer from January 1.

Part of Klopp's role will be working the network's sporting directors on how they can advance their relevant clubs. Its quite possible that if Liverpool were to submit a formal proposal for Dedic, he could encourage Salzburg to sell the player to the Reds knowing their track-record for producing and developing world-class talent.
