Trent Alexander-Arnold makes ASTONISHING Jude Bellingham demand
Liverpool are POWERLESS to prevent talks taking place between Real Madrid and Trent Alexander-Arnold over a pre–contract agreement.
With the 26-year-old out of contract in summer 2025 - and with no breakthrough over a new deal - he has been entitled to speak to potentially interested overseas clubs since January 1.

Real Madrid made an attempt to negotiate with Liverpool over a winter transfer for the right-back but those tactics fell short with the Anfield club declining an invitation to speak.
It was duly expected that the 15-time European champions would reach out to Trent directly in order to negotiate a deal with the England defender the ONLY player in their sights.
And according to Sky Sports Switzerland, those initial overtures to Alexander-Arnold have fallen short.
“There is a fairly clear distance between the first written proposal submitted by the Merengues and Alexander-Arnold's expectations,” a report reads in the publication.
Trent REJECTS Liverpool
Furthermore it adds that Trent has got a close eye on Jude Bellingham’s contract and will seek a sum in line with what’s being earned by his fellow England international at the Bernabeu.
Bellingham rakes in around €400,000 per week, according to Capology, and has a Madrid contract until 2029. That is roughly equivalent to what Mohamed Salah earns at Liverpool.
“The right-back is fully informed of the salary received by his friend and compatriot Jude Bellingham in Madrid and he wants to obtain a contract whose final amount would be very close…," the report states.
Liverpool are still there for Trent but, according to the report, he hasn’t yet been swayed by the club’s offer of a new deal.
“Liverpool have indeed tried to keep their star, and several proposals have even been received, analyzed and negotiated by Trent Alexander-Arnold,” the report states.
“All these offers have been considered too low.”
It remains in the balance where Trent will be playing his football next season. However the latest reports suggest he is in line for a bumper raise either at Madrid or Liverpool.
His current contract is worth around £180,000 per week and it’s unlikely Liverpool would be able to afford a pay-bump for Trent, Salah and Virgil van Dijk all at the same time.
Down the line there are problems to be dealt with in the shape of renewals for Ibrahima Konate, Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliott.
