How Liverpool could FORCE Bukayo Saka out of Arsenal
Liverpool fans have been left desolate in the last few weeks as it appears homegrown hero Trent Alexander-Arnold is ready to quit the club.
Out of contract in summer 2025, the right-back looks set to complete a move to Real Madrid. He’s 26, at the peak of his powers, and his decision to leave his boyhood club will hit supporters like a dagger through the heart.

Some have suggested Trent is a traitor and no longer worthy of the title of club legend.
However it must be added that Alexander-Arnold has won every major prize available to him at Anfield - including the Premier League and FA Cup - and looks set to sign off with another league title too.

The idea of a homegrown idol running down his contract and completing a lucrative deal for free elsewhere leaves a sour taste in certain mouths.
And Arsenal have now been warned that they could face a similar fate with Bukayo Saka - and it could be all because of Liverpool.
Saka winning very little at Arsenal
Saka, 23, emerged as an Arsenal prospect back in 2019/20 - when Liverpool won the title. Although the Gunners won the FA Cup that season, Saka was an unused substitute in the Wembley final.
Mikel Arteta’s side have added two measly Community Shields to their trophy cabinet since then, meaning Saka’s medal haul is looking a little scant for a player of his quality.
And Arsenal have been warned by ex-England striker Darren Bent that unless they can start winning the big prizes - and fast - then Saka might well be considering his future.
Manchester City have dominated the league scene over the past few seasons - winning four in a row - and now Liverpool look set to dominate under Arne Slot.
Arsenal have been also-rans to City and have taken up the same position under the Reds - despite the MILLIONS lavished in the transfer market by Arteta.
Arsenal given Saka contract warning
With Saka’s contract expiring in 2027, Bent suggests he will need to think very carefully about his next move.
“At some point it’s going to come to a point where Arsenal need to win a Premier League or a Champions League, something big,” he told talkSPORT.
“A League Cup, which is big, doesn’t keep a player like Saka or [William] Saliba, because he’s another one where you go the wolves are really circling, Real Madrid are really talking about Saliba being next.
“Arsenal need to match his ambition and if I’m Saka I would love him to sign tomorrow, a new five-year deal I’d love it but if you’re Saka realistically as a player surely you want to wait and see.”
We could see a situation where Saka ends up in a similar position to Alexander-Arnold - grateful for the opportunities his hometown club have given him but ready to move on. The crucial difference? Alexander-Arnold has and done it all in a Liverpool shirt.
Saka is still waiting for the trophy-winning era of his career to commence.
Arsenal's 'difficult conversation' with Saka
“But then again to the whole Trent [thing], the only thing with Trent where it’s different, Trent’s won everything there is to win, so when he goes now he goes ‘alright I’ve done my part’,” Bent said.
“Two Premier League titles, Champions League, Saka’s FA Cup. So it’s like ‘well come on if you’re trying to leave us we’re trying to get to where we’re going to, what do you do then’.
“So I almost think it’s more of a difficult conversation for Saka than it is for Trent.”

And so if Liverpool can maintain their strength over the next couple of seasons - not to mention if Man City rebound - then Saka could well grow frustrated and cut himself loose.
