Liverpool are facing an impending contract crisis with less than a week to go before Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk can speak to other clubs.
From January 1, 2025, the high-profile trio will be free to negotiate pre-contract agreements with interested overseas clubs ahead of a free transfer next summer.
Although Anfield Watch reported that Van Dijk will STAY at Anfield beyond the end of the season, the club still haven’t announced the renewal.
But while the club may be helpless to prevent Alexander-Arnold from heading to the Bernabeu, there is some welcome transfer news on the Van Dijk front from Real Madrid.

Liverpool are facing contract uncertainty with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
All three are out of contract at the end of the 2024/25 season with potentially interested overseas clubs able to speak to the superstar trio from January 1.
It would be a triple whammy if Liverpool were to lose Trent, Van Dijk and Salah and leave Richard Hughes in the unenviable position of sourcing replacements for all three.
However, Liverpool are ready to pounce for a high-profile free agent of their own next summer.

A few weeks ago, it was reported the club were interested in defensive midfielder Samuele Ricci.
An Anfield Watch exclusive reported that club scouts have been very impressed by the Italian midfielder's performances at Torino and had initially enquired about the Italian last summer, but were put off by his €60 million price tag.
The 23-year-old is clearly an up-and-coming talent having cemented himself as a key player in the starting line-up for his national team and he is regarded as a treasure to his club.
And while Liverpool were previously unwilling to entertain his transfer fee, the situation has reportedly changed, once again opening up the possibility of moving to Merseyside.
Reds to take advantage of Barcelona by completing incredible double deal
It's not often that Liverpool have the chance to sign two players they have kept on their radars for a very long time from the same club.
It's especially not often when that club is Barcelona, who have lured players away from Anfield in the last decade or so rather than sold players to the Reds.
Just take Luis Suarez or Philippe Coutinho as an example who both left for the Camp Nou much to the disappointment of the club's supporters.
Liverpool on the other hand shopped elsewhere like Southampton. But now they have a chance to turn the tables and capitalise on Barcelona's misfortunes.
