Joao Pedro in, Jota out?
The emerging reports that Liverpool will be actively pursuing a deal for Brighton’s Joao Pedro as early as the January transfer window have understandably raised the eyebrows of Reds all over the world.
Pedro has seven goal involvements in nine games this season - mixed in with a stint on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury - and over the past year has become one of the most exciting attackers the Premier League has to offer.
He has been an essential part of Brighton’s rise, scoring six goals in as many games in their Europa League run last year. He has shown the potential to cut it with the very best, so it’s no surprise Liverpool are interested.
Why Liverpool WANT Momodou Sonko
It was early on in Momodou Sonko's footballing career when he arrived at Kirkby on a warm spring afternoon to begin a trial with Liverpool. Only just 12 years old at the time, this was Sonko's first footballing adventure away from Sweden. His first trial at a foreign club.
Sonko spent a few days with Liverpool's academy back in 2017 and was taken around the club's facilities and museum in what was an indelible moment for the youngster. Ever since then, Liverpool have heavily monitored Sonko's progress.

Now, a new report by Colombian sports outlet Antena 2 has suggested that negotiations between the club and the winger have failed and there is a very interested suitor.
“The striker's entourage has revealed that negotiations for his renewal with the Reds have failed… his leading role in the team led by Arne Slot is not related to the salary he receives and he has demanded an improvement in his contract to match the club's leaders.” reads the report.
And whilst both Barcelona and PSG have had their interest in Diaz previously registered, it is now AC Milan that appear to be bullish about the Colombian international.

Darwin Nunez and Kostas Tsimikas were among four Reds linked with a summer exit to Barcelona - alongside Carvalho and Diaz. Those deals didn’t come to pass but transfer rumours around the pair haven’t quietened down.
Nunez has failed to take his chance to become Arne Slot’s No.1 centre-forward during Diogo Jota’s injury absence and it’s been mooted that the Uruguayan could finally be axed from the squad.

Now comes the report from Atletico Universe that Atletico Madrid scouts were spotted at Girona’s Champions League game against Liverpool on Tuesday night with Nunez one of the players in their sights.

A new report from Spanish outlet Revelo shows how remarkable the situation that Liverpool find themselves in with Trent Alexander-Arnold is.
According to the report, Jude Bellingham is aiming to use his friendship with Alexander-Arnold to sway him to move to Spain. This is unsurprising given the established friendship that the two of them have.
It also states that “Not everyone at the club considers Arnold to be an indispensable player”, suggesting there is a certain amount of positional value that they care about.
However the report lays bare the reality of the situation, saying, “There is a certain optimism about the arrival of the right-footer, although it is far from being a done deal . Liverpool want to play their cards and finish convincing a footballer born there and who can become captain of the team from his city. However, in the north of England they understand that with each passing day it is more difficult for him to renew and they are fully aware of Madrid's interest.”
