Liverpool transfer news today: Salah’s CHOICE, wonderkid PICKS, Neymar INFLUENCE
Here’s all your latest Liverpool FC transfer news.
Liverpool want Diouf
According to a report from TBR Football, the Reds are one of several teams interested in signing the highly rated Senegalese youngster Amara Diouf.
The 16-year-old is currently part of the Generation Foot academy in Senegal, the academy responsible for producing Sadio Mane as well as other top Senegalese stars.
Diouf became the youngest ever player to make an appearance for the Senegal national team in September 2023 when he came off the bench aged just 15 years and 94 days old.
The Generation Foot academy has a partnership with Ligue 2 side FC Metz and has previously supplied the club with players like Mane, Ismaila Sarr and Pape Matar Sarr.
Mo Salah’s preference
A report from Masrawy in Egypt claims that Mo Salah would prefer a move to Paris Saint-Germain if he doesn’t sign a new contract with Liverpool.
There are no talks with Saudi Arabian clubs, despite the interest there, and the Reds’ star man has a preference, it seems, to remain in elite European football.
It’s worth adding that Salah’s preference remains a renewal of his Liverpool contract. He’s not seeking an exit.
Neymar twist could change things
Speculation has been rife that Mo Salah is the pick for Al-Hilal to replace Neymar. He could be the biggest star in the league, after all, and they’ve already attempted to pay a record fee to get him to a different club over there.
That’s a problem for Liverpool as they try to tie the Egyptian down to a new contract. Negotiation is already intense - let alone when there’s the prospects of Saudi money lurking in the background.
However, Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany claims Neymar isn’t on his way out of Al-Hilal. Or at least, no one has let the player know that’s a possibility.
Wonderkid rejects Liverpool
Spanish outlet E-N are reporting that Liverpool have lost out on the race for 18-year old Brazilian starlet Rayan Vitor.
The Vasco da Gama star has reportedly agreed to sign for Barcelona for a fee of around £15m. The Spanish giants faced competition from both Liverpool and Marseille for the youngster's services.
The young star is yet to find a defined position, playing across the attacking line. Despite only registering one goal and one assist this season, the attacker is valued highly.
Marmoush up there with the greats
It’s been reported in several places that Omar Marmoush is on Liverpool’s shopping list. We even get the impression that he’s quite high on that list.
And why wouldn’t he be? Marmoush is enjoying a simply remarkable season, with his performances practically begging for a major transfer.
Marmoush’s big goal at the weekend was a free kick, meaning he’s actually scored back-to-back free kicks. That’s an incredibly difficult thing to do and Eintracht Frankfurt were quick to point that out on instagram.
