Salah - Saudi hurdle CLEARED
Neymar made the move from Paris Saint-Germain to Al-Hilal in 2023.
Having been plagued by injuries during his time in the Middle East, speculation around where the Brazilian winger's future initially came from reports of a potential contract termination.
Neymar has been on a remarkable amount of money for spending his time in Saudi, yet his appearances have been few and far between.
But now, TeamTalk is reporting that Neymar has agreed to return to his home club Santos, where he began his career, now that the team has returned to Brazil's top-flight league.
As a result, the Saudis will soon be looking for a new player to headline their flagship club, and Salah has been identified as the perfect player to do so.
Like with Neymar, enormous wages may be presented to Salah in order to convince him away from moving to another European team, and the closer proximity to his home country Egypt may also be a factor.
Real Madrid ABANDON Trent Alexander-Arnold plan
Real Madrid have moved on from their Trent Alexander-Arnold plan. Liverpool can breathe a sigh of relief for now.
Revelo reports that Real Madrid have abandoned the idea of signing Trent Alexander-Arnold in January. Los Blancos hoped to bring in the Liverpool vice-captain after Dani Carvajal was ruled out for the campaign.
But that was always unlikely. It never made sense for Liverpool to sell in January - any reasonable offer wasn't worth the value of keeping him for a Premier League and Champions League charge.
Madrid have plainly recognised this and don't believe they'll make a single January signing. That's actually a bigger deal for them that just Alexander-Arnold - Eder Militao's injury leaves them short at centre-back.

Liverpool are eyeing up a move for Christian Pulisic after his outstanding start to the season with AC Milan. The Reds face some competition, however.
CalcioMercato makes the claim. They say Liverpool are one of three Premier League clubs looking at Pulisic right now.
Manchester United and West Ham United are the other two - but it’s the Reds who front the queue. They ‘greatly’ like Pulisic and are interested in a move.
The player’s wages aren’t an issue, either, as €6m per year is easily affordable for top Premier League sides. The bigger question is the fee.
Liverpool find PERFECT Mo Salah transfer replacement
Sooner or later Liverpool will have to replace Mohamed Salah.
Everything must ultimately come to an end. Jurgen Klopp’s departure from Liverpool last season was an acute reminder of that.
Now there's a real possibility that some of Klopp's most iconic stars of the last decade could also depart for pastures new.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are all facing uncertain futures at Anfield having entered the final year of their current deals at the club.

How much Liverpool will pay for Marmoush
Liverpool are just one of many teams linked with Omar Marmoush, who is setting the Bundesliga on fire this season.
The 25-year-old forward already has 14 goals and 10 assists in just 16 games for Eintracht Frankfurt this campaign, and this has made him one of Europe’s most talked about players.
Now, in an interview with German newspaper Welt, the Frankfurt sporting director, Markus Krosche, has spoken about the speculation surrounding Marmoush.
“For Omar, this isn’t a topic in his daily life. A key indicator of that is his performance, both in training and, most importantly, in matches,” Krosche said.
“And his performance is spot on. He enjoys being here. He’s enthusiastic about playing for Eintracht in this team and is very well integrated.”
When asked about how much it would take to get Marmoush out of Eintracht, the interviewer referred to the player’s market value as €40 million.
In response Krosche said: “That won't be enough.”
Trent OUT, Vanderson in?
According to a report from Rousing The Kop, Liverpool are taking a look at Monaco’s Brazilian right-back Vanderson.
“They are 100 per cent doing their due diligence,” journalist Graham Bailey told Rousing The Kop.
“[Jeremie] Frimpong is a player they like a lot, but so does most of Europe.
“I know they’ve checked on Vanderson, they are looking around and seeing what options are out there and they’ve done their work on him, they know he’s available.
“They were one of the clubs who looked at him before he arrived at Monaco, interestingly,” adds Bailey.
“They decided not to go for him then, but he’s settled in well into European football and I certainly think he would be part of the conversation if Alexander-Arnold does leave and they do have to find someone to come in and help fill the void.”
Vanderson joined Monaco from Brazilian side Gremio in 2022 for approximately €11m, and went straight into their starting lineup.
His performances in Ligue 1 have seen him rewarded with a spot in Brazil’s national team squad, with Vanderson starting in their most recent game away to Venezuela during World Cup qualification.
Jonathan David WANTS free transfer
In-demand striker Jonathan David appears to have ruled out moving in the January transfer window.
Lille could well move the player on at the start of the year, with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
January, then, is the final time Lille can get a fee for one of the prized assets. But it doesn't appear that they will.
David has publicly talked down the possibility of moving in the winter window. He feels it's too difficult to adapt midway through the season.
“Going to a club midseason is never easy,” David told the Athletic. “It’s not like the beginning of a season where you have a pre-season, you get to know your team-mates, you have time to gel.
"In January, things are very hectic. It’s about right now. It’s tougher.”
Of course, there is another potential reason David doesn't want a January move. Free transfers typically land the player a lot more money - there's no transfer fee involved, after all, and competition is higher.
So while he's absolutely right about 'gelling' with teammates, he'll also know that a free transfer is where the lucrative offers come in.
Now, will Liverpool be able to navigate that?
Ronaldo calls Salah
A new report from El Nacional indicates that Cristiano Ronaldo is being an active player in trying to bring Mo Salah to his club, Al Nassr.
“For his part, Ronaldo is acting as an unofficial ambassador for the Saudi project, convincing elite players to join the championship," the report states.
“According to sources close to the club, the Portuguese reportedly spoke to Salah personally to convey his enthusiasm for the league and Al-Nassr's long-term plans.
“Next summer will be key to Salah's future, but one thing is clear: Cristiano Ronaldo will spare no effort to have him by his side.”
