The latest transfer news surrounding Liverpool as the club looks to complete its first transfer of the summer window. 

There's more updates on Giorgi Mamardashvili's transfer to Liverpool, meanwhile new updates have been shared about potential departures, including Joe Gomez and Sepp van den Berg.

Mamardashvili transfer latest

According to Relevo, Valencia and Liverpool have reportedly agreed on a fixed transfer fee of over €30 million for Mamardashvili, with ongoing discussions focused on the structure of add-ons and potential variables.

Talks are still under way regarding performance-related bonuses and conditions under which certain add-ons would be waived if the goalkeeper remains at Valencia longer than expected.

As it stands, the current agreement stipulates that Mamardashvili will remain with Valencia on loan for at least one more season, allowing him to continue as their first-choice goalkeeper while Liverpool have his long-term future secured.

The latest player to be linked with a move to Liverpool is 19 year-old Gent starlet Matias Fernandez-Pardo, according to journalist Chris Wheatley.

The Reds aren't the only Premier League side interested in securing the winger's signature, with Leicester and Southampton also expressing an appetite in the youngster.

Fernandez-Pardo has been impressing in the Belgian Pro League recording nine goals and two assists since the beginning of last campaign.

The youngster operates on the left of an attack or through the middle and netted his first of the new league campaign last weekend in a 4-1 win over Westerloo.

Sepp van den Berg to leave on permanent transfer

The Athletic have today reported that Premier league side Brentford are seriously considering meeting Liverpool's valuation to bring Van den Berg in on a permanent deal.

The Bees are also believed to have interest in other defenders however, with the likes of Burnley's Dara O'Shea and Sheffield United's Anel Ahmedhodzic being admired by Thomas Frank's side.

Brentford are known to be long term admirers of the centre-half and with Fabio Carvalho being the latest to transfer between the two clubs, The Bees' solid relations with Liverpool could see Van den Berg follow suit very soon.

The West London side face competition from the Germany though, with Bundesliga Champions Bayer Leverkusen's interest in the Dutchman is now described as 'concrete' according to Sky Germany.

Chelsea have already bolstered their defence with the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo following the departure of veteran centre-back Thiago Silva. However, with Trevoh Chalobah potentially on his way out, Chelsea are reportedly exploring further options.

According to fresh reports from Si Phillips, the West Londoners have enquired about the availability of Liverpool's Joe Gomez.

Gomez, who has always found it difficult to secure regular playing time at Liverpool, is open to a move but is in no rush to leave Merseyside.

According to CaughtOffside, Newcastle United and Aston Villa have shown interest in the England international, though no concrete offers have been made.
