Here is the latest Liverpool transfer news as the Premier League season edges closer. The Reds could be in the market for a new left-back and goalkeeper according to recent reports, while there are updates on the futures of Joe Gomez and Fabio Carvalho.

JULIO SOLER BID 'LIKELY TO COME'

Liverpool are reportedly 'likely' to make a formal offer for 19-year-old left-back Julio Soler after reports emerged of the Reds' interest in the wonderkid.

The young Argentine impressed at the Summer Olympics in Paris despite being knocked out in the quarter-final and the defender, who represents Club Atletico Lanus in his homeland at club level, has seemingly caught Liverpool's eye.

As per South American journalist Mariano Antico, Liverpool are yet to approach  Lanus with an official offer for Soler but one is 'likely to come'.

If Liverpool can part ways with approximately £11.7m, then it's 'very feasible' a deal can be reached between the two clubs.

LIVERPOOL SCHEDULE MEETING FOR LA LIGA GOALKEEPER

Liverpool have reportedly scheduled a meeting with Valencia this week to discuss a £30m move for their goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

A recent report from Spanish outlet Relevo has revealed that the Reds view Mamardashvili as a perfect heir to Alisson at Anfield and are ready to accelerate discussions for a summer transfer.

They claim that a meeting has already been scheduled between the Reds and Valencia to discuss a deal and that Liverpool are desperate to sign the stopper this summer.

Mamardashvili would likely cost around the £30m mark but the 23-year-old is not content with being Alisson's back-up in the Liverpool goal.

Therefore, the report claims that the Reds want a deal done this summer to prevent Mamardashvili's price increasing, but they will loan him out for the 2024/25 campaign.

JOE GOMEZ SET FOR ANFIELD STAY

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez is set to stay at Anfield for the 2024/25 season following discussions with new head coach Arne Slot.

Paul Joyce from The Times reports that the 27-year-old, who recently reported back to the AXA Training Centre alongside teammates such as Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, is set to stay at Liverpool under new head coach Arne Slot.

The report says that Gomez "remains committed to Liverpool" and aims to emerge as a key player under Slot.

Despite this, there is still considerable interest in the Londoner this summer, including from five Premier League teams.

LIVERPOOL SET FABIO CARVALHO PRICE TAG

Liverpool have reportedly set a price tag of £25.8m for Fabio Carvalho after rejecting an offer from Southampton for his services.

The 21-year-old has impressed so far this pre-season under Arne Slot, but fresh transfer interest could yet tempt the Reds to sell.

The Athletic reported on Sunday that Liverpool had rejected a £15 million bid from Southampton for Carvalho who is under contract at Anfield until June 2027.

Now CaughtOffside are reporting that Liverpool have set a €30m (£25.8 million) asking price for the young Portuguese star.

PSG MAKE FIRST MOVE FOR LIVERPOOL CENTRE-BACK TARGET

Liverpool must act quickly to secure the signing of Willian Pacho this summer after Paris Saint-Germain recently opened talks with Eintracht Frankfurt for the centre-back.

The Reds are keen admirers of the Ecuadorian defender, who has starred for Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt during his debut season with the club in 2023/24.

The left-footed 22-year-old made 44 appearances for the Eagles last term, starting all but one of the club's matches in the Bundesliga.

According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Ligue 1 champions PSG have now opened talks for Pacho and their interest in the defender is described as 'concrete'.

The journalist claims that PSG have informed Eintracht Frankfurt of their desire to sign the Ecuador international, with Pacho himself open to a move to the French capital.
