Ten days until the end of the January transfer window, and Liverpool aren't looking overly likely to bring anyone in.

It was to be expected, with Jurgen Klopp openly admitting at the beginning of the month that the Reds' weren't going to be incredibly active this window.

That said, there's always the possibility for a transfer to come out of the blue - and as such, the rumour mill is far from drying up.

Here's the latest Liverpool transfer news to soak up.

Goncalo Inacio proposal prepared

Liverpool are reportedly preparing a proposal for Sporting CP defender Goncalo Inacio, who has now been their 'priority target'.

According to Correio da Manha, the Reds are continuing to put together a bid to bring the 22-year-old centre-back to Anfield.

The report states that Sporting will demand a fee of £51.6m in order activate a release clause within Inacio's current contract.

This comes after O Jogo claimed yesterday that Inacio was in favour of a move to Merseyside and would hold out for the transfer.

Thiago to Flamengo a non-starter

Reds midfielder Thiago Alcantara has entered the final six months of his contract at Anfield - and as such, he's been attracting interest from overseas.

Brazilian side Flamengo were reported to be one of the sides closely monitoring the Spaniard. However, these claims have been quashed by Fabrizio Romano.

Romano wrote on X: "Understand there’s nothing at all into rumours of Thiago Alcantara joining Flamengo in January. No talks, no board trip to England to negotiate. Zero."

Thiago is yet to play for Liverpool this season as he continues to recover from an injury he suffered in Spring of 2023.

Liverpool eye Wolves duo

Wolves are bracing themselves for offers for two of their star players from Liverpool, and could sell despite alleviating their Financial Fair Play worries with a fire sale last summer, according to Football Insider.

The first of these players is red-hot striker Hwang Hee-chan, who is attracting interest from both Liverpool and Tottenham.

A January move is said to be off the table, but the Reds could pounce in the summer, adding further depth to their attacking ranks.

Also on their watch list is left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri - who again is most likely to join in the summer, were Liverpool to make a move.

Douglas Luiz competition

Liverpool will face competition from Barcelona and Arsenal in the race for Douglas Luiz, according to Football Insider.

The Brazilian has shone for Aston Villa this season, playing a vital role in their push for Champions League qualification.

However, with two years left on his current deal, teams are beginning to circle as they look to acquire the services of the 25-year-old.

Villa are said to be in no rush to discuss a new deal - but should the midfielder push for a move in the summer, it would leave the Villains in a difficult position.
