Discussing the situation on talkSPORT yesterday, former Liverpool star Danny Murphy praised Alexander-Arnold’s current level, saying: “Trent looks as good as I’ve seen him in years physically, which is now helping his 1-on-1 defending.

However, following Trent's most recent interview, Murphy was left concerned: "His wording in that interview to me suggests he’s open to the idea of going somewhere else and that’s concerning."
