There could be massive changes for Liverpool this year. Here are seven stars who could leave the club in 2025.

Contract issues, poor form, outright contract expiry - there are plenty of reasons why players could depart Liverpool this year. The summer promises to be one of change and clubs are circling like sharks to snap up some of the world's best.

But who could actually leave the club? We've put together a list of seven major players who could be on their way out.

Mo Salah

The big one? Mo Salah’s contract expires at the end of the season and Liverpool are yet to agree on a new deal.

In fact, the latest reports suggest Salah has rejected the latest offer. Naturally, there's a lot of interest in Salah, particularly from Saudi Arabia and Al-Hilal.

We'll see what happens with this one. Salah wants to stay but Liverpool are hesitant to give massive wages to a play who's nearly 33. Sacrifices will be made, one way or another.

Virgil van Dijk

Now, Anfield Watch understands that Virgil van Dijk is staying at Liverpool. However, nothing has been announced yet.

We made that declaration based on the fact his agent broke off talks with other clubs as Van Dijk had decided to remain at Anfield. Again, though - there has been no confirmation of a deal yet.

So while we do believe Van Dijk is staying, he's on his way out until something has been announced.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

A player that does appear to be leaving. There's very little talk of Trent Alexander-Arnold signing a new contract with Liverpool but plenty of reports that Real Madrid are confident of signing him.

The homegrown full-back would break a lot of hearts if he does indeed sign with Los Blancos and leave Liverpool right as he enters his 'prime' years. We'll see what happens but let's be honest:

It doesn't look good.

Ibrahima Konate

Ibrahima Konate's contract doesn't expire this summer but it does run into its final year. That's alerted Paris Saint-Germain, who, as Anfield Watch exclusively revealed, want to take advantage of the situation to sign Konate on the cheap.

He's from the area and they're willing to dangle the captaincy in front of him to get a deal done. Liverpool really face an uphill battle here - and one they really didn't need with all the other contract trouble.

Darwin Nunez

Well, this is a very, very interesting one. Unlike the other players on this list, Darwin Nunez has not locked down a regular role in Liverpool's starting XI.

And yet, the Reds stand to make a lot of money for him. Anfield Watch exclusively revealed that Al-Hilal put an incredible amount on the table this month but Liverpool rejected it.

The Telegraph has since backed that up, suggesting Nunez was offered a gigantic pay-packet by the Saudi side. As things stand, though, he's not going anywhere.

But that could all change. We think Nunez has four months to save his Liverpool career because we find it hard to believe they'll reject big-money offers this summer.

Luis Diaz

Luis Diaz is a complicated one. There are no great contract concerns in terms of expiry - his deal runs until 2027 - but he remains on the wage he signed for back in January 2022.

That's very unusual for Liverpool, who typically reward players with pay bumps. Diaz, though, hasn't received any.

For context, Cody Gakpo is reportedly on around 3x what Diaz earns. And while Liverpool have tried to renew the Colombian's contract this season, he's been underwhelmed by their offers.

That opens the door for an exit, of course, as Liverpool would want to sell while his value is high. There are interested parties, naturally, including Barcelona.

Alisson Becker

Alisson enters the final year of his contract this summer. That's particularly notable because last summer saw plenty of interest from Saudi Arabia.

That was rejected at the time but tellingly, Liverpool bought Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, who will arrive after this season. That is a massive, massive sign that they're expecting movement with Alisson.

The Saudi interest is thought to still be there and you can expect some sort of news, one way or the other, after this season.
