The 7 Liverpool players reportedly attracting interest right now

The Athletic reports that seven Liverpool players are generating interest from clubs right now. Here’s who they are.

It really does seem that Liverpool are finally kickstarting their transfer business. The Reds are reportedly closing in on their defensive midfield target, while it's now claimed that as many as seven players are the subject of interest.

It's something we - and many others - saw coming. After all, Liverpool are now back from their preseason tour of the USA and are firmly in a position to sell.

Arne Slot has reportedly spent the last little while deciding who he's willing to part with. Now clubs are lining up to take advantage.

The Athletic reports that as many as seven Liverpool players are the subject of interest from other clubs. Five of those have already had offers come in.

Sepp van den Berg, Fabio Carvalho, Nathaniel Phillips, Wataru Endo and Bobby Clark are those players. Liverpool reject all offers for them, however.

In just about every case, it was because the bid wasn't good enough. The suggestion is that the club would be open to selling all five but only for the right offer.

Tyler Morton and Ben Doak are the other names mentioned. Neither have had bids come in, it seems, but there's plenty of interest.

Now Liverpool must decide how to go about all of this.

Liverpool's big decision

Van den Berg and Endo are the most interesting ones, we'd say. They're two players who really could have solid squad roles this season - and Carvalho is arguably in that group, too.

We imagine it would take very good bids to get Liverpool to sell all three. It feels unlikely that they'd be loaned out.

As for the others, Phillips will surely be sold somewhere. The others all suit loan moves as we'd be reluctant to see Clark, Morton or Doak leave permanently.

Just one year on loan at a good side - preferably in the Premier League - would make a world of difference. Even if Liverpool did want to sell, they'd surely get far more for all in 2025.

Let's just see what happens this week, then. It promises to be a massive one for Liverpool.
