Liverpool ready to strike late wonderkid transfer
Liverpool have left it late but they could now strike a last-minute transfer for a wonderkid. Can they get it over the line?
Liverpool are always looking at the brightest talents in English football. They've got a few themselves, actually, with Rio Ngumoha arguably the shining light after his move from Chelsea in the summer.
EXCLUSIVE: PSG's irresistible offer to Ibrahima Konate
There's Ben Doak playing down in the Championship with Middlesbrough, too. He arrived from Celtic not too long ago.
Trey Nyoni is another bright prospect signed from the English game. He's now on the brink of the first-team having previously been a brilliant talent at Leeds United.
Not that Liverpool don't have their truly homegrown talents - Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones sit in the first-team setup, with Jayden Danns on his way - but they'll always want the brightest from these parts. Harvey Elliott is arguably the best example of that working out.
And they may have found another, if reports are to be believed.
Liverpool target Ryan Oné
Rousing The Kop reports that Liverpool are looking into signing Sheffield United talent Ryan Oné. Oné has broken through with the Blades this season, drawing interest from all over Europe.
But Liverpool have apparently been keeping tabs on Oné for the last few years, having tracked him at Hamilton Academical before his move to Sheffield. They've now asked to be kept in the loop with any offers this month.
And those offers could arrive. The interest in Oné is such that the Blades have not ruled out a transfer before the window closes.
Liverpool, then, are keeping the door open for a late transfer here. While we find it hard to believe they'd throw Oné into the first-team squad already, it's possible we could yet see a signing.

It's seems that the youth team has more success at getting players in than the first team. I don't understand how we never seem to get any transfers done. Either FSG are too stingy or out talent acquisition team is not what it should be. We hear name after name and every one else gets the bite at the cherry bit we fit with our finger up our ...a.. and our chances of silverware start to fade. Wake up management ..
I'm not a Liverpool fan but I do keep a interest in them. Put another way there my premier league team. I support and follow Doncaster rover's. I had to comment at the last part of your post where you say our chance of silverware fade! I had to check the date to make sure it wasn't a old comment. Your top of the prem and withstanding a major collapse I just can't see Arsenal overtaking you. You have qualified for the next champ league stage finishing top, not sure if there is more to play. Still in the F.A cup and imo look a better side now under slot than you did with Klopp as you can now defend. Just where do you think you will get a better player for the first team in Jan than what you have. All bringing a squad player will do is block the path for some of your top top younger players. I just think Liverpool are been very smart. Slot and the scouts will have players lined up for every position to replace outgoing players and end of contracts.
I 100% agree with AndreOmalley, still in 4 competitions, steaming along, who is actually available who would improve what we already have 🤔 Wait a minute 🤔 Yes....... Nobody 🙄
I think we got quality right through the team BUT Andy robbo is struggling at mo (is his body slowing down) Tsimikas is also not the player he was Trent needs to make his mind up and let the club know Salah same Van dijk same
So there's possibly 5 players need replacing and the sooner we get sorted 1 way or another the sooner we can get players in if need be so the can gel and be ready for at latest next season
Yes we are flying at the moment and are top of the trees BUT we need to ensure WE STAY THERE by looking ahead The club aren't helping as they seem to be doddling (from an outsider looking in)
