Liverpool transfer news roundup: More Mbappe, Gray scouted, Kelly price
Another day, another round of transfer rumours.
After lying dormant for a couple months, the rumour mill is getting back into full swing as the January transfer window fast approaches.
As such, Liverpool are beginning to linked with seemingly every player under the sun.
Let's take a look at the latest gossip and try and separate the somewhat facts from the abhorrent fiction.
Kylian Mbappe
We start with the industry standard for Liverpool transfer rumours.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool are likely to be in the mix for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe if he becomes available next summer.
However, the same source claims it would be 'doubtful' that the Reds could afford such a sensational move.
We're stuck in an endless loop and we can't get out.
Archie Gray
Over the years we've had Jack Clarke, Jude Bellingham, Alex Scott - all Championship starlets heavily linked with a move to Merseyside. Archie Gray is the latest to join the list.
It was reported earlier this week that Liverpool were lining up a £40m summer bid for the Leeds United youngster, as per the Daily Mail.
And now, Fabrizio Romano - writing in his Caught Offside column - has claimed that the Reds have sent their scouts to watch the 17-year-old in action on multiple occasions.
Seems our interest in Gray is very much apparent. Whether we pull the trigger on a big-money move is another question entirely.
Lloyd Kelly
Bournemouth would be willing to let Lloyd Kelly leave the Cherries in January, but only for a fee of £25m, according to Football Insider.
Kelly's contract at Bournemouth is up next summer, with Liverpool long-term admirers of the defender.
The Reds face competition from Spurs, who are said to be preparing a new move for Kelly.
Would be a surprise to see Liverpool fork out such a sizable fee for a player who would cost nothing six months later.
Andre
Liverpool have long been linked with Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade.
However, Ben Jacobs (via Give Me Sport) is claiming that Fulham have emerged as favourites in the race to sign the Brazilian.
This comes after reports that the Reds had cooled their interest in the Copa Libertadores winner.
Goncalo Inacio
Correio da Manha have claimed Liverpool and Manchester United are keeping tabs on young defender Goncalo Inacio.
Both clubs will reportedly have scouts on the ground in Portugal as Sporting Lisbon take on their bitter rivals Benfica on Sunday evening.
A long-reported target of the Reds, this information doesn't seem to advance the story one bit.
Julian Brandt
Arsenal and Newcastle United have entered the race for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt, according to the Mirror.
The same report highlights the long-term admiration of Jurgen Klopp for the player, dating back to his time at Bayer Leverkusen.
It looks to be implied that Liverpool could go back in for the German if they so pleased, rivalling their Premier League counterparts for his signature.
