For all the talk of huge wages, there is now doubt about whether Al-Ettifaq can afford a transfer fee for Jordan Henderson, throwing a move into doubt, according to the Daily's Mail's Dominic King.

Football Insider seem confident a deal for Henderson will still happen and predict a £10m fee will be agreed.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool "have no intention" of accepting a small fee for their captain, with talks ongoing.

The Echo say the Reds are still yet to receive any formal bids for either Henderson or Fabinho from Saudi Arabia. Was it all a dream? Chris Bascombe of the Telegraph claims that, as things stand, both players will travel with the Reds for their first pre-season game in Germany next week.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri says that the Reds still have Southampton's Romeo Lavia in "full focus", though other unnamed options are on the table.

Christian Falk told Caughtoffside that Jorg Schmadtke "has an eye on" Gladbach's Manu Kone, despite the injury he picked up on international duty.

And lastly, Torino are holding out for €35m for supposed Liverpool target Perr Schuurs, say Tuttosport.
