Now's your chance Richard Hughes: Electric star is WAITING for Liverpool
Richard Hughes has his big chance with reports that one £84m star is now just waiting for Liverpool.
Richard Hughes has had a difficult start to life as Liverpool sporting director. The summer was supposed to bring a star signing in Martin Zubimendi but that turned into a struggle.

Zubimendi had agreed to be that star signing for Liverpool but with everything done, he rejected the Reds at the last minute. The club didn't have any alternatives they were happy with, either, which left Arne Slot without the no.6 he wanted.
Of course, he fixed that by turning Ryan Gravenberch into a world-class one.
Federico Chiesa hasn't set the world alight, either. The Italian has struggled for minutes at Liverpool, battling injuries and fitness. Then there's Giorgi Mamardashvili - an elite goalkeeper but one who won't actually arrive until the season is over.
There will be an awful lot of eyes on Hughes in 2025, then. Liverpool fans want to see new blood in the squad, especially with so many players possibly leaving.
Fortunately, a deal for one star may be very, very easy to make.

Jamie Gittens is right there
There's plenty of hype around Jamie Gittens right now and with good reason. He's been flying for Borussia Dortmund.
11 goals and three assists so far this season across the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League. That's underselling it, though, because Gittens hasn't necessarily been a regular starter.
Tally all of his minutes in the Bundesliga, for instance, and you get a total of 14.2 full 90s. He's got seven goals and three assists in those fixtures - that's a goal or assist every 1.43 games.
Doing that at 20 - and in a team that isn't performing well at all - is brilliant. And guess what? He's expected to move.
Christian Falk reports that Dortmund may have to sell this summer, especially if they miss out on the Champions League. There's a very real chance of that, too, given they're 11th.
Bayern Munich are interested, seeing as this is a good player in the Bundesliga. Dortmund don't want to sell to Bayern, however, and would much prefer to sell him abroad.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United are interested, too, but both could miss out on Champions League football themselves. United, in particular, have PSR concerns.
And so if Dortmund want to sell, Gittens is essentially there waiting for a Liverpool offer. They're the team most likely to convince both player and club.
So here's your chance, Richard Hughes. An incredibly exciting prospect is available and Liverpool may have the clearest path to him.
