The massive reason why Richard Hughes NEEDS to overhaul Liverpool's attack
Richard Hughes has to fix a very important element in this Liverpool attack and this is the reason why.
On Wednesday night, the Reds were in ecstasy as the final whistle blew in Paris. Arne Slot's side delivered a famous victory away from home, a victory that puts them in a strong position ahead of the next leg at Anfield.

However, despite the good result, Harvey Elliott's winner papered over the cracks of what was otherwise a really poor showing from the Reds.
Notably, by two players in particular, who showed absolutely no threat whatsoever to Paris Saint Germain's attack.

And they are the reason why Hughes will be planning mass changes ahead of the summer transfer window. Changes that will completely overhaul Slot's offensive options.
Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz heading away from Liverpool
Anfield Watch revealed exclusively that the Reds are open to selling both Jota and Diaz in the summer window and based on their showing in Paris, it's clear to see why.
Up until Elliott scored the winner in the 87th minute, Liverpool had just one shot in the entire game. That was from Diaz - header from a corner in the 45th minute.
In total, Liverpool created just three chances in the entire game. Juxtapose those numbers with PSG, who created 21 chances and had 27 shots, and you start to see why Liverpool will have concerns.
Alisson was brilliant in between the sticks, but the Reds should not be relying on him alone to get them out of trouble. They are one of the best teams in the world right now, or at least they aspire to be and on based on recent results, there is a strong case for it.
However, Slot's team is far from perfect. The reality is, PSG should have won that game. Alisson's superhuman ability prevented them from it but he won't be able to play like this week in week out.
Liverpool need to be much better in the second-leg at Anfield and they need to have a much better attack going forward.
Going to Paris and getting just two shots at goal is not good enough for a club who want to be among the best.
Diaz and Jota were both really poor on the night. Neither made an impact going forward and couldn't cause PSG any problems whatsoever.
It speaks volumes that in the end it was Darwin Nunez, who came on and made the difference.
