Real Madrid plot another DEVASTATING raid for Liverpool icon
Real Madrid look set to strike at the heart of Liverpool for Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 26-year-old right-back appears destined to swap Anfield for the Bernabeu in a high-profile transfer at the end of the season.
And Madrid just won’t go away. This season has brought multiple links with several other Liverpool players - most prominently in the case of Alexis Mac Allister and Ibrahima Konate of late.

But the 15-time European champions might well have one more trick up their sleeve and one which would be a slap in the face for many Liverpool fans.

With Carlo Ancelotti under pressure, it was initially speculated that Xabi Alonso would be the man to replace him in the hotseat.
But owing to Madrid’s miserable season to date, it’s reckoned by club insiders that Los Blancos need a more charismatic coach who can make a far bigger impact.
And, according to Sport, the name they have alighted on is none other than Jurgen Klopp.
Real Madrid want Klopp
“In football circles, many agents have been pointing out in recent days that the Jürgen Klopp option is gaining momentum in the Bernabéu box,” a report reads.
“People close to Florentino Pérez are suggesting that the German is perhaps the only candidate who could fix this season's tactical mess.
“Klopp would be an impact signing, would have much more room to maneuver, and would perhaps be better able to handle the pressure of a club that only wants to win at any cost.”
Dortmund fans felt more let down by Klopp joining Red Bull as Head of Global Football earlier this season than Liverpool fans did.
But there’s no dispute that certain eyebrows were raised when the German ended his mini-sabbatical so soon after leaving his role as Liverpool coach.
Unhappy Klopp wants to leave Red Bull
Red Bull are not exactly a perfect fit for a man who espoused the principles of traditional football clubs like Dortmund and Liverpool.
However, it would be infinitely preferable to seeing the 58-year-old joining Madrid.
Klopp notoriously had trouble facing down the Spanish capital side during his time in charge, losing two Champions League finals to them and watching helplessly as Sergio Ramos ruined Mohamed Salah’s chances of lifting the trophy in 2018.
Moreover, a recent report in Brazil suggested an unhappy Klopp would be ready to bring an early END to his time with the Austrian fizzy drink giant should the Brazilian national team job or the Real Madrid one be offered.

As Trent is finding out, the lure of the Bernabeu is strong. Will Klopp be tempted out of his self-imposed exile for the bright lights of Madrid?
