A new era began at Liverpool with the appointment of Arne Slot, and a number of players have stepped up their game since the Dutchman’s arrival.

Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Ryan Gravenberch are just some of the names that are enjoying the best season of their careers in Slot’s maiden campaign at Anfield.

Another Red who has found his best form under Slot has been Alexis Mac Allister, a mainstay in Liverpool’s side this season.

This fine form has attracted some interest from abroad however, and Liverpool have reported decided how much it would take to secure the World Cup winner’s signature.

Liverpool set Mac Allister asking price

As is often the case when a player finds great form for Liverpool, Real Madrid have been linked with a move for 26-year-old Mac Allister.

Fichajes are not only reporting that Los Blancos are keen to sign the former Brighton man, but also that Liverpool have set an asking price of €100 million for Mac Allister.

That fee would see the Reds bank a huge profit on a player they paid just €42 million for in 2023.

It would also see Mac Allister become the second most expensive departure in the club’s history, behind Philippe Coutinho who joined Barcelona in a €135 million deal in 2018.

Mac Allister has become a key player at Anfield and it is unlikely that Slot and Richard Hughes would sanction a move away if it weren’t for a massive fee, or unless a replacement had already been signed.

Although Liverpool’s midfield unit is currently very strong, the departure of Mac Allister would leave it lacking depth, with Wataru Endo and Tyler Morton also being linked with moves away.

Liverpool supporters will not only hope that Mac Allister’s fine form continues but that Real Madrid look elsewhere so the Argentinian can continue to develop under his new head coach.
