Liverpool BRACED for Real Madrid move for star midfielder
This summer, Liverpool will look to send some of their current players packing while bringing others in to replace them and freshen up the team.
The budget for such an operation is expected to be substantial, although we are reliant on rival clubs looking to take some of the club's underperforming assets off our hands, while allowing us to take some of the hottest properties on the market to reinforce Arne Slot's artillery for next season.

Negotiating the transfer market is going to be tough, which is exactly why Liverpool opted to extend Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk's contracts - replacing them was going to be nigh-on impossible.
However, even some of the players Liverpool are dead-set against selling will be approached this summer and keeping hold of them is going to be the particularly tough part of this summer.
Regardless of how loyal you might think a player is, the right project could tempt anyone away in an instant.
After only rebuilding their midfield two seasons ago, one of the Reds' workhorse maestros is already attracting attention from Europe's elite - a daunting situation for fans to watch unfold.
Alexis Mac Allister emerges as an option for Real Madrid
As you would expect, Real Madrid are hot on the trail for anyone they believe could improve their team and it is clear from Mac Allister's efforts this season that he could play for whoever he wants.
With three years left on his current deal and with Liverpool set to win the Premier League this season, it seems inconceivable that the Argentinian would be playing anywhere else next season.
However, when Los Blancos are interested, you cannot help but take notice and Jose Felix Diaz understands that the player is someone that Real Madrid are interested in.
"Mac Allister is liked at Real Madrid," he said, according to a report from Defensa Central, which states Los Blancos see him as a Toni Kroos successor.
But if the perspective of Mac Alister's father is anything to go by, then Liverpool fans have nothing to worry about.
Speaking to WinWin, he said: "There is nothing to comment on. Alexis is very happy in Liverpool. He hopes to win the Premier League title this season, and then enjoy a vacation he did not get last year.
"It is important that respect the institution he plays for, so any comments from us would be superfluous. He is under contract with Liverpool until 2028, he is happy at the club and we hope he continues there."
As such, while it is important to take reports from Real Madrid seriously, it seems this current rumour is simply a lot of hot air, although it underlines the point that Liverpool need to be careful when players receive interest from rival clubs. Nothing should be overlooked and dismissed out of hand.
Last season, Luis Diaz called Mac Allister a 'magician' on the pitch after he scored the opening goal in a 5-1 win over Sparta Prague in the Europa League.
