Liverpool still deciding on Trent Alexander-Arnold CASH-IN
Liverpool could yet cash-in on Trent Alexander-Arnold. There's a big decision on its way at Anfield.
Trent Alexander-Arnold's future is now the hottest topic on Merseyside. The Scouser's contract expires at the end of end of the campaign and he's yet to agree on a new one.

The signs aren't good. Alexander-Arnold has barely talked publicly about his contract and when he does, he's incredibly cagey.
Compare that to Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk. The pair have been in the same situation all season but were always happy to discuss their respective situations - a sign that they were positive on staying.
That certainly proved to be the case. Both signed new contracts this month to remain with Liverpool for at least two more seasons.
There has been no such guarantee from Alexander-Arnold. Instead, it looks near-certain that he'll leave to join Real Madrid, who have been relentless in their pursuit of the right-back.
The latest reports suggest an offer has arrived on his table - Alexander-Arnold simply needs to sign it. The moment he does, Liverpool must be notified and that hasn't happened as of yet.
And maybe there's a very good reason for that. Liverpool could yet cash-in on Alexander-Arnold.
Here's how.

Alexander-Arnold's cash-in
As things stand, Alexander-Arnold will leave Liverpool on a free transfer, meaning the Reds get absolutely nothing for their star academy product. It's a terrible situation and one that really shouldn't have come about.
But there is still a chance that Liverpool get something.
Real Madrid will compete in the FIFA Club World Cup this summer, which runs before the end of Alexander-Arnold's Liverpool contract. Los Blancos do have a transfer window before the tournament, though, where they can register new players.
They certainly want to add Alexander-Arnold. That would mean convincing Liverpool to release him early from his contract, essentially in that transfer window.
Liverpool may agree to do that for free, saving them from paying just over a month of Alexander-Arnold's wages. However, they could decide to call Madrid's bluff and ask for a transfer fee.
Give Me Sport claims there's a willingness to negotiate from Spain. They're open to the idea of sending a transfer fee Liverpool's way in order to have Alexander-Arnold for that tournament.

It remains to be seen what kind of fee they'd send and while stress again that the player has not signed with Real Madrid yet. Things could yet change.
